We’re calling for nominations for the Administrator’s Medal of the Year Awards 2026.

Members of the public are encouraged to recognise a NT Fire and Emergency Services member who go above and beyond for the community.

Territorians can nominate in four categories:
⭐ Career Firefighter of the Year
⭐ Auxiliary or Volunteer Firefighter of the Year
⭐ Emergency Service Employee or Volunteer of the Year
⭐Bushfires NT Volunteer or Employee of the Year

Strong nominations clearly demonstrate how the individual protects the community, exhibits professionalism, and builds trust and engagement.

Alice Springs residents are encouraged to attend a community bushfire preparedness forum this month to learn how to prepare for the coming bushfire season and contribute to future bushfire planning across the Territory.

The forum will be held on Tuesday 25 August 2026 at 5.00pm at Olive Pink Botanic Gardens.
No need to make a booking, please come along.

The event will give community members the opportunity to hear from Bushfires NT and Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service representatives, ask questions, and provide feedback on local bushfire preparedness and management in Central Australia.
