Today (Sat 13th) Dalby Lions had the pleasure of hosting Districts Club Officer Development Day. Incoming President of Dalby Lions, Lorraine Freeman, welcomed all to the Dalby Den. IPDG & Council Chair, Lion Richard followed with his welcome on behalf of District and we enjoyed hearing from DG Elect Lion Stuart on his aims & goals for 2026-2027. We then enjoyed a magnificent morning tea prepared by Lion Ann Shepherd ( and Lion Gordon) and then preceded to various break out areas. We then broke for Lunch and once again Lion Ann excelled herself with a ploughmans lunch (and much more), there were many comments on why Lions liked coming to Dalby, if for nothing else than the magnificent spreads provided over the years. Was a great day & I would like to thank those Dalby Lions who helped with the serving of the meals and those Lions who helped setup & pack up of the Den, Guide Hut & Red Cross Hall. Thank you also to those Lions who travelled in from Roma, Chinchilla, Cecil Plains, Toowoomba (congrats to Laurel Bank Lions on their chartering yesterday) and all points east. You all helped make it a great day.

Dalby Lions Club members setting up our Lions Den this afternoon for the 59 Lions attending the Club Development Day tomorrow. Among those attending is the current Council Chairman (the number 1 Lion in Australia) IPDG Lion Richard Williams and his wife Lion Debbie, both of Brisbane Inner North Lions Club. As you can see, he is getting the best seat in the Den!

Tonight was a special Board/Business Meeting as two new members were inducted by Pres. Greg as his last (except for changeover) official function of the year. We welcomed Kristine Saunders & Scott Hammermeister & their sponsors Lion Julianne & Lion Glenn Shipway.

Congratulations to Marshall Cox on receiving an OAM for service to the Toowoomba community. Many will recognise Marshall for the magic he brings to Toowoomba's Christmas Wonderland of Lights, as well as his longstanding contribution through the Lions Club of Toowoomba West Inc.

Several Dalby Lions went to the Timbertown Festival to help out our wonderful Jandowae Lions selling Chips & Donuts. Was a great day helping the wonderful Lions, Gavin, Cherie & Brooke.
