The Federation Support Brigade is incredibly proud of our Captain Nathan Cranston. Nathan has been nominated as a finalist for the Rotary Emergency Services Community Award (RESCA) through his volunteer service with the Corowa Rescue Squad - VRA Rescue NSW

Nathan’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to helping our community in times of need are second to none. His willingness to step up whenever he’s needed is a true reflection of the values we strive to uphold as a brigade.

Alongside several other members of our brigade, Nathan’s dedication to the VRA and RFS is what helps keeps our communities safe. His passion for serving the community, no matter the emergency is something we greatly admire and appreciate.

🚒 Congratulations to Our Newest Qualified Firefighters! 🚒

A huge congratulations to our most recent group of qualified firefighters who have successfully completed their Firefighter 1 certification.

These young men have worked incredibly hard, dedicating countless hours to training and developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to be deemed competent firefighters. Their commitment and determination throughout the course have been outstanding.

We are proud to welcome them into the Federation Support family and look forward to continuing their learning journey alongside us. We can’t wait to see them accompanying our crews on the truck, serving and protecting our community with pride.

Well done, gentlemen – this is just the beginning of a rewarding firefighting career.

🚒🚑🚨 Interagency Training Night – Building Stronger Connections Across the Border 🚨🚑🚒

Last night, Federation Support Brigade had the pleasure of hosting an interagency training and networking session, bringing together emergency service personnel from across the region.

Representatives from:
🔹 Federation Support Brigade
🔹 Redlands Brigade
🔹 CFA & Rutherglen Group Vehicles
🔹 VRA Corowa
🔹 SES Rutherglen

came together for an evening of learning, sharing knowledge, and strengthening relationships.

The night was structured as a round-robin, with members divided into mixed-agency groups to explore each organisation’s vehicles, equipment, and operational capabilities. This provided a fantastic opportunity to gain a better understanding of how each service operates and the resources available when responding to incidents together.

The knowledge shared throughout the evening was invaluable, helping us all better understand how we can work together to support and protect our communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and shared their expertise. Strong partnerships and open communication are key to successful emergency response, and nights like this help ensure we’re all ready when our communities need us most.

On this ANZAC Day, we remember those who gave their lives, those who returned, and those who continue to serve—both past and present. Their strength, resilience, and mateship are values that live on in our communities every day.
