On Monday, Ryan(Dingo) was presented with his Wood Badge and the iconic wooden beads. A proud achievement and significant milestone in his Scouting journey.
The Wood Badge is the highest level of adult leader training in Scouting. More than just a course, it develops leadership, communication, teamwork, mentoring, and planning skills that help leaders create amazing experiences for our young people.
As part of his Wood Badge project, Dingo revitalised our Scout fire pit area. Saving logs destined for the woodchipper, he recycled them into seating for our Scouting community, creating a welcoming space where Scouts can gather, learn, share stories, and build friendships around the campfire.
To celebrate his achievement, our Scouts organised a special Fire Pit Lighting Ceremony, bringing everyone together to officially open the revitalised area and recognise Dingo’s hard work and dedication.
Those who complete their Wood Badge earn the right to wear the iconic wooden beads, a symbol of commitment, learning, and service that dates back to Scouting’s founder, Baden-Powell.
Behind every successful Scout Group are dedicated volunteers who continually learn and grow to provide the best possible program for our youth.
Bravo, Dingo! 👏 Thank you for your commitment to Scouting and for the positive impact you make on the lives of our scouting community.
