With heavy rain affecting the Coffs Harbour region, now is the time to stay informed, prepare your household and look out for one another.

🌧️ A few important steps to take now:
🔹 Monitor weather updates and official warnings.
🔹 Prepare an emergency kit with essential medications, food, water, a torch, batteries and important documents.
🔹 Keep your phone charged and have an emergency plan for your family, including pets.
🔹 Clear leaves and debris from drains around your property, if it is safe to do so.
🔹 Avoid driving, walking or riding through floodwater. If it’s flooded, forget it!

❤️ How can Australian Red Cross help?

If the situation escalates into an emergency event requiring assistance, Australian Red Cross Emergency Services may be activated to support affected communities, working alongside emergency services and local authorities. Depending on the needs and response arrangements, this may include practical and emotional support for people impacted by the emergency.

Please remember that preparing early can make a real difference. Check on elderly neighbours, family members and anyone who may need extra support during severe weather.

🎄❤️ SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY THIS CHRISTMAS! ❤️🎄

We are so excited to share that The Shoreline has reached out to our Coffs Harbour Red Cross team and chosen to support Red Cross with the proceeds from their upcoming Christmas Fair! 🎅✨

We’d love to see our wonderful community come along and support this fantastic event. There will be crafts, trash & treasure, delicious baked goods and plenty of Christmas spirit, with proceeds helping support the work of Red Cross right here in our local community. ❤️

Celebrating Red Cross Emergency Service Team members

September 9th saw the Shoreline hosting four Red Cross Emergency Services volunteers, alongside City of Coffs Harbour Mayor, Nikki Williams and Mr Gurmesh Singh MP, who presented NSW Premier's Flood Emergency Citations recognising their incredible efforts during the devastating floods of 2022/23.
Congratulations to Helen Michener, Trish Mill, Judy Jackson and Mary Bryant from Coffs Harbour and Woolgoolga teams, who worked tirelessly as volunteers supporting the community when it needed it the most. (Missing from the presentation were award recipients Mary Bryant, Norm Michener and Tracey Baxter).
Red Cross has been fortunate to work closely with the Shoreline over the past few years, appreciating the help given in raising funds and general support for their important work. We would also like to thank Gurmesh and Nikki for their attendance in making this a very special occasion.

The Red Cross is urging the public to donate O-negative blood, as Sydney hospitals struggle to deal with demand from the Bondi Beach shooting.

The service is transporting blood bags from interstate for victims of the attack, but more is needed.

The Public Information and Inquiry Centre (PIIC) has been activated to support the multi-agency response to the Bondi Beach incident.

The Public Information and Inquiry Centre can be contacted by calling 1800 227 228. It will operate on a 24-hour basis for as long as is necessary.

The PIIC will also be the place to register for people who were forced to leave personal possessions - including vehicles - behind during the emergency. Police warn if may be some days until these can be returned to their owners.

The NSW Police Force has also activated the ‘Register Find Reunite’ capability, to assist in the registration of those who have been affected by the incident.

✨ Red Cross Coffs Harbour Trivia Success! ✨

We had an incredible morning at the Shoreline hosting our Trivia Morning, with 7 teams and around 50 people joining us to raise funds for locals experiencing homelessness.

It was Brooke’s first ever time organising and hosting an event, and what a success it was — over $800 raised! 🎉
The room was full of laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of “I know this one!” moments.

A huge thank you to The Shoreline management and residents, our amazing community groups, and everyone who came along to support such an important cause. ❤️

We’re proud to be supporting Troy Arvidson from Food Fix , who works tirelessly providing meals and practical help to people doing it tough right here in Coffs Harbour.

Thank you to everyone who made this morning so special. We can’t wait for the next one! 🙌

Thank you to The Shoreline for letting us host our trivia event. It was a great morning and huge success to raise much needed funds for our homeless community. Thankyou to everyone who joined us ❤️

A big thank you to the Coffs Harbour Red Cross for hosting a fun filled trivia morning here at The Shoreline!

Not only was it a great time for everyone, but it also helped raise much-needed funds to support our local community members experiencing homelessness.

✨ Red Cross Coffs Harbour Trivia Morning ✨

On Wednesday 19th November, Red Cross Coffs Harbour hosted a wonderful Trivia Event at The Shoreline to raise much-needed funds for people experiencing homelessness in our local community. It was fantastic to see so many friendly faces come along to support such an important cause.

A heartfelt thank you to The Shoreline for generously hosting us, and to Birg for the amazing job helping us bring this event together. We also extend a special thank you to Troy from Food Fix for joining us as our guest — proceeds and donated items from the day will be supporting his incredible work helping those in need.
