⚜️WINTER ADVENTURE ⚜️
Over the weekend, the Coffs Harbour Scouts enjoyed a winter camp at Cathedral Rock National Park 🏕️
Famous for its dramatic granite boulders and misty landscapes, our Scouts got to experience Cathedral Rock in all its glory! ❤️
As always, our Scouts practised valuable skills such as:
✔️Leadership
✔️Navigation
✔️Outdoor survival skills
✔️Teamwork
✔️Bushwalking

These skills are important while the kids are on their Scouting journey, but are also invaluable life skills that will hold them in good stead as they grow into adults.

The lawn mower being put to good use.

Today i had the great pleasure of collecting a lawn mower very kindly donated my Bunnings Coffs Harbour.

Over the summer months the grass around the Scout Hall become unmanageable and volunteers where having to bring their own lawnmowers to keep the grass under control.

Having equipment on site to help with maintenance tasks will help keep the Scout Hall looking its best.

Thank you to the team at Bunnings for you wonderful donation.

✨ NIGHT TIME NAVIGATION ✨

Last night our Scouts joined the Bush n Beach Orienteering Club for some night time orienteering!

Luckily the rain held off, and our Scouts practiced valuable skills such as;
☑️Navigation
☑️Teamwork
☑️Decision making
☑️Map reading
☑️Route planning

Lots of fun was had by all, and the skills they're practicing will hold them in good stead for their future camping & wilderness adventures🏕️
