"Places sort of provide this backdrop to whatever I'm working on. And maybe it's how a filmmaker might feel when they are thinking about the location of their next movie, you know?"

~ Kansas City-based roots-rock crackerjack KEVIN MORBY chats to Berko from 2SER's "Static" about this week’s 2SER Feature Album, the luminous “Little Wide Open”.
Kevin explains how setting his albums in locations inspires him to write, recounts how a stranger-than-fiction car crash ended up in a song here, and reveals why he namechecked two Metallica albums this time around.

Tony Albert is one of the most fearless and influential voices in Australian contemporary art.

A Girramay, Yidindji, Kuku Yalanji man, Tony Albert is one of Australia’s foremost contemporary artists with a longstanding interest in the cultural misrepresentation of Aboriginal people.

His new exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art is called Not a Souvenir, and brings together work across sculpture, photography, installation, painting, and assemblage alongside major new commissions.

It was indeed an honour and pleasure for 2SER Breakfast to welcome Tony to the show to discuss his new exhibition. Hear from Tony himself as part of guided and curated tours:

Any conversation about the most important punk rock bands of all time is bound to include Black Flag. Emerging from California in the 1970s, the groups pioneering hardcore sound, innumerable re-inventions and relentless touring over decades have set the standard for DIY punk.

Returning to Sydney’s Crowbar on Friday May 29th, founding guitarist Greg Ginn chatted with Not Punk Enough’s Rupert Canning about their upcoming shows, renewed lineup and future plans.

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all of us to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how we can all contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

All In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change.

Wiradjuri man and Senior Manager RAPs for Reconciliation Australia, Adrian Cheatham joined 2SER Breakfast to discuss what reconciliation means.
