We are proud to share some very special news with our families, community, staff, Board and supporters.
For the first time in Gundooโs 30-year history, we have achieved a rating of ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ญ๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ (๐๐๐).
This is a significant milestone for our service and one that reflects the hard work, dedication and commitment that has gone into strengthening Gundoo over the past 12 months.
The National Quality Standard is Australiaโs benchmark for early childhood education and care. Services are assessed across seven important areas including educational programs, childrenโs health and safety, physical environments, staffing, relationships with children, partnerships with families and communities, and leadership and governance. A service rated ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ญ๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ is recognised as providing quality education and care across all seven areas.
Families can view these ratings through ๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฌ, the Australian Governmentโs trusted website that helps families understand and compare early childhood education and care services across the country.
This achievement did not happen overnight.
Over the last year, Gundoo has worked hard to make positive changes and improvements across our service. We have strengthened our systems, invested in our learning environments, supported our educators, improved our practices and continued building strong relationships with children, families and community.
Most importantly, we have remained focused on creating a safe, welcoming and culturally strong place where our little ones can learn, grow and thrive.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has been part of this journey.

While we are proud of reaching this benchmark, we also know the journey does not stop here. We will continue striving to grow, improve and provide the very best outcomes we can for our children, families and future generations.
