We are now taking Expressions of Interest for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Individualised Living Options (ILO) at Empowered.

With our new Service Manager, Cara Shipman, now onboard, we are expanding our focus to deliver high-quality SIL supports. Cara brings a wealth of sector knowledge and experience to the team, and we’re looking forward to growing this service.

A big thank you to Sunflower Services for putting on a great Naidoc day event yesterday at Islington park. The sun came through for us and there was a great community spirit with shared games, stories, cultural activities including special guests, Aboriginal rock painting, a smoke ceremony lead by Uncle Albert and a team of performers including didgeridoo performances and traditional dancing.

We are hosting Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea at the office on Thursday, 21st May!

Every year, thousands of Australians are impacted by cancer. We’re coming together to share a cuppa, a few treats, and most importantly, to raise vital funds for the Cancer Council.

Our team is busy "cooking up a storm" (or at least trying to!) to provide a spread of delicious snacks, but we need your help to reach our fundraising goal.

Whether it’s the cost of a coffee or a larger contribution, every dollar makes a massive difference in funding life-saving research and support services.

Lauren and her Support Worker Belinda headed up to the Hunter Valley recently to check out the chocolate factory. They spent the morning seeing how everything is made and exploring the shop 🍫 It’s a great spot if you're looking to get out and see more of the local area.
