Hatfield Rover Unit is based at the Box Hill North Scout Group, Tyne St, Box Hill North

Hatfield Rover Crew was founded by our long serving adviser, Gifford Hatfield. It continues to be a very successful Rover Crew, serving eastern Melbourne. We meet on Friday Nights from 8pm until late, and often go away for weekend trips. Feel free to come along, or for more information send us a message and we will get back to you!

Day 2 of Hatfields Rover Road Trip!! 🚗💨

Day two started off by leaving our campsite and climbing through the mountain fog for a fuel stop before heading onwards to the one of the many giant things in Australia…THE GIANT KOALA!!!

We visited their gift shop and café to get some warmth in us and then continued on the road to lunch where what felt like 3/4 of the group either had a Parma or burger. Some of us stayed and watched the footy grand final where the other went out exploring the town.

Our last drive was to our camp for the night, which was at Mataranka Scout Camp. We used their facilities to cook up a cracking bolognaise and spent the night around the fire and having a vibe!

Recently Hatfield Rover Crew went on their third Annual Rover Road Trip.

We started our trip off by visiting the organ pipes and tessellated pavement at the organ pipes national park.

We then had some lunch at the yacht Club before visiting the Ballarat Tram museum and getting a tour around their workshop and taking a ride on one of the restored trams. Learning a lot from one of crews train and tram experts Alexei.

There was then a leisurely stroll through the botanical gardens to walk off our lunch, we then finally jumped in the car for our last trip to the campsite at Cooinda Burrong Scout Camp and got ready for day 2

Last week at Rovers! We did a trivia night, that featured a wide variety of different knowledge aspects from movie quotes🎬, scouting knowledge, and sound recognition🎧

This week at rovers! We did a upcycle fashion/swap night where we used any of our old or unwanted clothes and made new (Very fashionable) new clothes

Hatfield rovers recently donated to the SHNC. We went down to Woolies and got some of the items listed on their website to help asylum seekers!

This week at Rovers!🎉 We held a guide dog night which consisted of our very creative rovers making their own guide dogs, completing a guide dog themed quiz and finally testing our skills to see if we have what it takes to be a guide human!

This week at rovers! We had a fantastic games night where we played some old time favourites such as heads down thumbs up as well as some other games such as family feud and that sound game!

A little while ago (okay so back in summer) we went camping at The Pines and had a lovely time relaxing, playing on the beach, and helping w**d the garden.
