And this month’s trophy winner is Shona. The post of her framing of the painting from the late Velmer Staines scored the highest number of views.
Congratulations Shona.

Whoops!!! I neglected to add that volunteer Tony is the creator of Mr Kentin and family. Well done Tony. This family certainly gets your attention with their colourful clothes and positioning as you drive past Templin Museum.

Mr Kentin has changed out of his working clothes and brought his family along to Templin. They look great as they stand outside the Museum!

The family of one of our original members (Velmer Staines) found this painting of our Slab Hut rolled up in the back of a cupboard. Her daughter Shirley brought it in to the museum and thanks to the skills of current volunteer Shona, the painting is now framed and ready to hang at Templin.
Many thanks to all involved including the artist Rose Lewis who completed this beautiful painting in 2004.

We’ve been a bit slack with our postings of late, so here comes a few updates from Templin Museum.

You might spot some unusual flowers in our gardens. These ones will definitely survive any drought!!

Shona has been really busy keeping water up to our gardens.

Errol has finished off some ‘gravelisation’ and planting around the new water tanks.

Tony won this month’s trophy for his creativity in making ‘Kentin’ but has proved exceedingly elusive in having his photo taken.

Lots more is happening behind the scenes so do plan a visit on a Sunday. Bring your morning tea or a picnic lunch and spend a few hours enjoying discovering (or re-discovering) local history!
