Bega VIEW Club ladies enjoyed a game of bingo at their October luncheon held at the Grand Hotel. The clubs own Norma is an expert at calling bingo numbers and has run these bingo games on several occasions in the past, but this time she came armed with a machine to help her. Pictured is Norma and Lyn, the hard committee member who did all the organising for the bingo.

Bega VIEW Club held their annual trading table at October’s monthly luncheon held at the Grand Hotel. The trading table was extremely successful, and the club raises a large amount money from these tables each year to boost our contributions to our learning for life students. Many thanks to all those ladies that contributed to the table with saleable goods, and also those ladies who dug deep to purchase these goods. Pictured is the trading table with Pat McRae manning it, and two members Christine and Helen making purchases.

Bega VIEW Club celebrated a welcome to spring at their September luncheon held at The Bega Golf Club, where all the ladies enjoyed a lovely ploughmans lunch catered for by the wonderful Bega Hospital Auxiliary. A welcome to spring trivia game was played where each table had a group of several photos of flowers they had to name. Many thanks to Sue for organising this fun game of trivia. Several members bought along their empty bottles and cans and we had a group get together to feed these cans into the Return and Earn machine, which is conveniently located at The Golf Club, and of course all the proceeds were forwarded to The Smith Family for the learning for life students. Barb Chambers organised a very interesting interview with two ladies, one of our, Barbara, and a Merimbula VIEW Club member, Robyn, who were both children of War brides, and who each had very different stories to tell.

Bega VIEW Club will hold its September luncheon on Thursday the 10th of September at The Bega Golf Club. Members and guests will partake in the ever popular ploughmans lunch supplied by The Bega Hospital Auxiliary. Barbara Chambers will interview two ladies with an interesting “War Brides” connection. To celebrate spring there will also be a short table quizz. Because the Return and Earn machine is located at The Golf Club ladies are asked to please bring along any empty bottles, cans etc and we will take the opportunity to feed them into the machine and earn our share towards the goal of $200,000 for the Learning for Life students. We will also do a photo shoot at the same time. Please phone 0459 043 307 to book by 6 pm on Monday the 7th of September as the Hospital ladies need to know how many to cater for.
