Tomorrow at Beenleigh Quilters machines will be busy as one of our “whole group” Charity days are held. Gwen and her helpers have been tirelessly preparing kits and instructions because the sewers are enthusiastic and early.
Most items made are distributed across South East Queensland, but some make it further, to Western Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Recent donations have included:
34 quilts to Gold Coast University Hospital Palliative Care and ICU.
75 patient belonging’s bags also to GCUH.
7 quilts to Robina Emergency Department End of Life Unit.
These quilts are able to be made because of the generous donation of fabric by the wider community, the hard work of Gwen’s support crew and time and efforts of the everyday members of Beenleigh.
