Don't stay at home bored this winter 🥶❄️
Come along and join us! You may even get to meet a furry friend! We were lucky to have these two gorgeous pups visit us with their owner Kristine.

Our Friendship Group is all about good company, easy chats, shared laughs and getting out of the house in a way that feels safe, welcoming and low-pressure 💛

You don’t need to know anyone.
You don’t need to be “outgoing”.

AUSTRALIAN CENSUS 2026
JUST 1 DAY TO GO!
=============
Tomorrow night, Tuesday, 11 August 2026, is Census night across Australia.

Every five years, the Australian Bureau of Statistics conducts the Census, providing a snapshot of who we are, where we live and how Australia is changing.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?
==================
CENSUS NIGHT
==================
Tuesday, 11 August 2026, tomorrow!

CHECK YOUR MAILBOX
==================
Most households should have received a letter containing a Census number and temporary password, allowing you to complete the Census online.

Some households will receive a paper Census form, and paper forms are also available for people who prefer one.

YOU CAN ALREADY COMPLETE IT
=========================
You don't actually have to wait until tomorrow night.

If you already know who will be staying at your address on Census night, you can complete your Census now.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
=====================
The ABS expects around 85% of Census forms to be completed online this year, with the average household taking around 30 minutes to complete it.

WHO NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED?
========================
Everyone in Australia on Census night must be included on a Census form, including visitors and visa holders.

The Census is compulsory.

WHAT WILL THEY ASK?
==================
Expect questions covering things such as:

• Your age and date of birth
• Where you live
• Your household and family
• Cultural background and ancestry
• Language
• Education
• Employment
• Income
• Housing
• Health and other demographic information

For people aged 16 and over, the 2026 Census also introduces new questions about gender and sexual orientation. Both new questions include a "prefer not to answer" option.

WHY DOES THE CENSUS MATTER?
========================
The information collected helps governments, councils, community organisations and others plan for things including:

• Hospitals and health services
• Schools
• Roads and transport
• Infrastructure
• Aged care
• Community services
• Funding for communities

WHAT ABOUT PRIVACY?
==================
The ABS says information provided on Census forms is confidential and Census information is not used for compliance or enforcement purposes.

NEED HELP?
===========
Support is available online, over the phone and through Census Pop-up Hubs and information sessions around Australia.

Census Contact Centre: 1800 181 227

Official Census website:
census.abs.gov.au

So, have you already completed your 2026 Census, or are you waiting until Census night tomorrow?
