Berrigan Shire Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Cameron Boardman as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), commencing 7 April 2026.

Following a comprehensive recruitment process attracting high calibre candidates from across the region and beyond, Council resolved to appoint Cameron Boardman at its meeting on Tuesday 10 March 2026.

Mayor Julia Cornwell McKean said the appointment marks an important step forward for the Shire.

“Council is delighted to welcome Cameron Boardman as our new CEO. He brings extensive experience in local government leadership and is also a proven private sector leader at the executive level. Cameron is looking forward to serving and being part of our Berrigan shire community. We are confident that Cameron will provide strong direction and stability for our organisation and provide the leadership for our next phase of growth and development.”

Roadworks later this week.

🚧 Roadworks Notice – Stan Collie Causeway, Barooga–Cobram Road

Short-term roadworks will take place between the bridges to repair pavement failure on Wednesday 15 or Thursday 16 October, depending on contractor availability.

Speed reductions will be in place, with traffic guided by signage and traffic controllers.

Thank you for your patience while these essential repairs are completed.

Due to damage to a main water line during local works, there has been an interruption to the treated water supply in Barooga.

Our team is onsite carrying out emergency repairs and will restore the service as soon as possible.
