The historic Arawata Hall, established 1888, is the hub of the Arawata/Kardella community. The Casserole tea nights keep the community connected.

The Hall is used on a regular basis for shared Casserole teas once a month all year round, a Farmers' Breakfast and Caulfield Cup Sweep, local Landcare group meetings and special events with Guest Speakers. The Arawata Annual Trivia night in May is always packed to the rafters and has a Perpetual Trophy awarded to the winning team. Coming together for community events means that we share the laugh

ter, the working bees, the condolences for losses and find out who in the area needs a little bit of TLC. We love our little hall and take pride in keeping it well maintained.

Another very successful Arawata Hall Triva night with nearly 70 people enjoying themselves and raising $850 for the Hall. A massive thank you to sponsors for their continued support. The winning table on 66 points was team OCROG, Julian, Anna, Claire, Kylee, Scott, Alex and Nick. Special thanks to the people attending the Arawata Hall for the first time and enjoying the Hall hospitality. Thanks to Peter for assisting the Quiz Master setting up the Hall and score keeping. We all helped Robert Harrison celebrate his birthday with vocal cords being exercised accordingly. Well done Robert, over 50 years of continued work!

Delicious pies were shared with a wonderful group of Arawata locals last night. It was lovely to welcome new community members and catch up with neighbours. We enjoyed hearing Jenny Draper’s interesting account of growing up in the district. Craig accepted a cheque for the hall from Joel, representing the Sth Gippsland Garlic Festival.
Thank you Robert for bringing along beautiful flowers to celebrate the mums in our community.
