This time, we’re focusing on STROKE and learning how to recognise the signs early.

🌿 WINTER WELLBEING GATHERING – NOURISH • CONNECT • REFLECT • THRIVE 🌿

We’re pleased to welcome the Nature Based Therapy Foundation to Anglesea Community House for a special Winter Wellbeing Gathering.

This holistic mental health and wellbeing program offers a meaningful day of connection, reflection and practical learning. Through guided discussion, reflective activities and nature-based practices, participants will explore strategies that can be incorporated into everyday life to support health, resilience and wellbeing.

Mental • Emotional • Physical • Spiritual • Financial • Occupational • Social • Environmental

🏠 HELP US KEEP OUR DOORS OPEN – SIGN THE PETITION

Anglesea Community House is proud to be part of a network of Neighbourhood Houses that support communities right across Victoria.

But Neighbourhood Houses are being asked to do more and more with funding that has not kept pace with the real cost of operating.

The State Government’s Neighbourhood House Coordination Program (NHCP) funding was designed to help cover the cost of employing a coordinator and keeping our doors open. Today, that funding no longer covers the true cost of the mandatory funded hours, let alone the many other costs involved in running a Community House.

Neighbourhood Houses provide connection, activities, volunteering, food relief, community information, support and a welcoming place for people when they need it. We want to keep providing these services without placing increasing pressure on our staff, volunteers and communities.

The Keep Our Doors Open campaign is calling on the Victorian Government to increase NHCP funding by 25% so Neighbourhood Houses can remain strong, sustainable and open for their communities.

💚 We are asking our Anglesea community to stand with us.
