Local writer Nicole is exploring the idea of creating a Slow Writing Community at the historic Bluestone School in Modewarre, through the Quillkeycara Slow Writing Space Project.

Supported by a Surf Coast Shire Creative Development Grant, the project aims to bring local writers together in a welcoming, creative space.

📚 Help Us Support Aireys Inlet Primary School!

Have some good-quality books at home that you no longer need? Anglesea Community House is collecting book donations to help stock the book stall at the Aireys Inlet Primary School Fair.

📖 Books will be sold at the fair, with 100% of the money raised going directly back to the school.

It’s a great way to pass on a much-loved book, declutter your shelves and support a wonderful local school community.

Book donations can be dropped off at Anglesea Community House.

As part of Positive Ageing Month, we're pleased to host the Anglesea Wiser Walker - Wiser Traveller Course & Excursion at Anglesea Community House.

This free 3-week program is for older adults who want to feel more confident using public transport, planning trips, accessing local services, and staying connected to their community.

🎬 SCHOOL HOLIDAY FILMMAKING COURSES! 🎥

Looking for something creative, fun and different these school holidays?

The Anglesea Movie Club is running its fantastic Filmmaking Courses again! Check out the video for a taste of the fun and creativity involved. 👆

Each course runs over TWO DAYS, giving participants the opportunity to learn, create and put their new filmmaking skills into action.

Participants will get hands-on experience with cameras, acting, storytelling, characters and creating their own scenes. It’s a great opportunity to build confidence, meet other creative people and discover what goes on both behind — and in front of — the camera!

🌟 Happy Early Childhood Educators’ Day! 🌟

Today we celebrate and say a very big THANK YOU to our wonderful early childhood educators at Anglesea Community House. 💛

Every day, our educators create a safe, caring and welcoming environment where our children can play, learn, explore, build confidence and feel a strong sense of belonging.

We are incredibly grateful for the patience, kindness, creativity and dedication they bring to their work — particularly during what has been a challenging few months for our childcare team.

To Bec, Sophie, Twiggy, Evelyn and all of the educators who have stepped in to support our service, thank you for everything you do for our children and families. Your care and commitment are very much appreciated.
