Join us at Alstonville Public School THIS SATURDAY MAY 23 for a wonderful evening featuring a great film, live music and food.
“My Brothers Band” is one of France’s biggest box office hits and winner of multiple awards.
Acclaimed conductor Thibaut has leukemia and needs a bone marrow donar. Learning he was adopted he finds a brother Jimmy who works as a cook in a school canteen and plays trombone in a local marching band.
A story with heart, the film is a musical treat with classical, jazz and contemporary French songs.

Just in case you were wondering, our latest film, L’Attachement (The Ties that Bind Us), did win the top award Best Film at the 51st Cesar Awards in France on 26 Feb. It also won Best Adaptated Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress

Not long now before we show our next film, L’Attachement, which has had 8 (!!!) nominations for the 2026 César (French Oscars), including Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Actor and Best Actress! The award night isn't until 26 Feb so come along Saturday and view the film before it becomes famous!!

The Alstonville P&C always offer a delicious selection of food and we will be serenaded beforehand by local songbird Veronica Jean. Proudly supported by Alstonville Plateau Historical Society and Alstonville Public School. For tickets go to:
