🛠️ VOLUNTEER NEEDED: HANDY-PERSON 🛠️
(aka Everyday Superhero — without the Lycra)

The Albany Light Opera Theatre Company is on the hunt for a handy human who can help keep their theatre spaces functional, safe, and show-ready.

If you can fix, patch, tighten, paint, build, coax, or calmly stare at things until they work again - they want to hear from you.

Bonus points if you:
✔️ Don’t judge too harshly when someone says, “I tried fixing it myself…”
✔️ Understand that duct tape is not a long-term structural solution
✔️ Can keep the drama on the stage (not in the workshop)

🎭 This is a great way to support local arts, meet lovely people, and put practical skills to good use.

Looking to get involved in your local community and meet some great people? 😊

King River Hall is on the lookout for a friendly and organised volunteer to join its Hall Management Committee as Secretary. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a bit of admin, is happy to help keep things running smoothly, and wants to be part of a welcoming, community-minded group.

The time commitment is very manageable, with just six one-hour Executive meetings per year and six general committee meetings (around two hours each) across the remaining months. Plus, there are always things happening at the Hall if you’d like to get more involved, lend a hand, and make new friends along the way!

If this sounds like you (or someone you know), we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch to find out more 💬
