🎶 A NEW BAND IS COMING TO BLACKWOOD RSL! 🎶

We love welcoming new live music to the club — and this band comes with a great little backstory!

Two of the guys, Andy and Jim, have holiday homes on Padman Crescent at Middleton and first met through their kids playing footy together in the street. From there, the musical connection grew, with Andrew joining the band as lead singer in December 2024.

Now they’re bringing the band to Blackwood RSL for the first time! 🎸🎤

Come along, give them a big Blackwood welcome and enjoy a great night of live music at the club.

Here’s a taste of Oy Polloy performing their renowned renditions of classic rock from the ’60s and ’70s!

When the band spotted some rock ’n’ roll fans in the crowd, they easily slipped in a few Blues Brothers classics. Then our very own band coordinator and committee member, Ray Howlett (formerly of A Rocking Good Way), jumped up and gave us his rendition of Elvis Presley’s “Hound Dog”!

It’s now much easier for the community to see when the kitchen is open and meals are available.

A great night at Blackwood Community RSL last night!

A big thank you to Pro-Active Health and Guitars for Vets Australia for joining us for our Veterans Information Night and sharing the great work they do supporting veterans.

Thanks also to everyone who came along. It was great to see veterans getting together, having a chat and finding out more about what’s available in our community.
