🌈 This Pride Month, join us for an open and respectful conversation about LGBTQIASB+ identities, inclusion, and allyship.

Facilitated by Peer Practitioner Moe, this LGBTQIASB+ Q&A session will provide a welcoming space for honest discussion, curiosity, and learning.

Whether you're part of the LGBTQIASB+ community, supporting someone who is, or simply looking to build your understanding, you're invited to come along, ask questions, listen, reflect, and connect.

No question is too small, and no one is expected to have all the answers. Participation is always voluntary, and respectful curiosity is encouraged.

Have you heard of Street Connect?

Street Connect is a simple way for community members to help connect people sleeping rough in Adelaide's CBD with the support they may need.

Recently, Yun and Joseph from the Toward Home Outreach team joined 7NEWS Adelaide to help raise awareness of this important initiative and the role it plays in supporting people experiencing homelessness.

When a report is submitted through Street Connect, local outreach services are notified and can follow up to offer support tailored to the person's individual needs and circumstances.

At Sonder, we’re proud to be part of the Toward Home Alliance, working alongside our partners to provide health, wellbeing and housing support for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

A big thank you to 7NEWS Adelaide for helping shine a light on this important initiative.

Over the past year, I've had the privilege of watching a dream become reality.

Walking, running and spending time on Country played a huge role in improving my own health and wellbeing. I knew the power that movement, connection to Country, culture and community could have.

The dream was creating a space where other Aboriginal women could experience that too.

Over the past 12 months, Walking On Country has become so much more than a hiking program.

Together we've walked trails, shared stories, laughed and supported one another.

What has been created is a culturally safe space where Aboriginal women can prioritise their health and wellbeing while strengthening their connection to Country and community.

The most powerful part has been the impact it's had on participants:

"As Aboriginal women we are all very relaxed with each other as we are all sisters and have our ways of doing".

"This program has been integral to my physical, mental, social and emotional wellbeing".

"The program is culturally safe, and has improved my health and wellbeing."

"Walking On Country has helped me on my healing journey."

These stories remind us that improving health outcomes isn't just about exercise. It's about connection, belonging, culture, community and creating spaces where people feel safe to show up as themselves.

As I reflect on the past year, I'm incredibly proud of what the women who have participated have built together. I'm proud of them and so grateful to go on this journey with them.

As I look to the future, I see opportunities to reach more women, train more Aboriginal leaders, create more pathways into movement and outdoor recreation, and continue improving health and wellbeing outcomes through connection to Country.

We’re celebrating five years of our social enterprise, Solasta! 🎉

What began as a small psychology service in 2021 has grown into a thriving social enterprise supporting thousands of South Australians through assessment, therapy, and specialist clinical services.

But what makes Solasta special is that every appointment creates impact beyond the clinic room: revenue generated through Solasta is reinvested into Sonder’s programs that support some of South Australia’s most underserved communities, helping us extend our reach and create positive change across the state.

We’re incredibly proud of the Solasta team and grateful to every client, clinician, partner and supporter who has been part of the journey.

Adelaide PHN has launched a new After-Hours Resources webpage to help people understand their care options and find the right support when they need it.

This is a valuable resource for our community and may be especially helpful for Refugee and New Arrival communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Solasta is hosting a free upcoming information session for parents and carers of autistic children, offering practical strategies to help support children at home and school, and in the community.

The session will explore topics including sensory differences, emotional regulation, masking and after-school exhaustion, behaviour as communication, and supporting family wellbeing.
