Working with general practices across the Yorke Peninsula, Port Pirie, Mid-North, Gawler, and Barossa regions, Paula provides practical and tailored support to help practice managers and nurses to:

✨ Navigate available practice incentives and support pathways.
✨ Strengthen culturally safe care.
✨ Connect patients with additional services when needed.

In this role, you’ll make a real difference in helping people access the mental health support they need, helping adults navigate their options and connect with timely, person-directed care.

You’ll play an important role in intake, assessment, triage and referrals, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and community services to help people access the right support.

Our team recently attended the 50th International Mental Health Nursing Conference (ACMHN2026) at the Adelaide Convention Centre, joining 572 delegates and 26 exhibitors (including international attendees!) from across the mental health sector.

As a proud sponsor of the event, we loved connecting with mental health nurses and other professionals to share more about Sonder’s services, explore pathways into our programs, and discuss opportunities to support recruitment, career development, and workforce retention.

Most importantly, these conversations helped us better understand the gaps and challenges across the private and non-government sectors, and how we can continue working together to strengthen mental health support in our community.

Art has the power to tell stories, connect people, and help us feel like we belong, which is why we’re so excited to share a beautiful new collaboration that’s bringing together culture and healthcare at Williamstown Medical!

Through a Welcoming Environments Small Grant from SA PHN, and with support from Sonder’s Country Indigenous Health Project Officer and Integrated Primary Care Coordinator, Paula, talented Ngadjuri artist Grace Bennett will create an original artwork for the practice. Her hope is to help foster a more welcoming and inclusive environment for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Lived experience is critical in any mental health setting. And at Sonder, it’s at the heart of everything we do.

This World Mental Health Day, we’re celebrating the voices, experiences, and perspectives that help shape better mental health support.

From young people helping shape our headspace centres, to our peer workforce and lived-experience voices in service design and governance, we’re committed to making sure people with lived experience are valued and involved in creating the services that support our community.

Because when we listen to people who have been there, we learn, grow, and create better support together.
