🌱 Building More Inclusive and Sustainable Agricultural Communities

Migrant workers play an essential role in agriculture across Europe. Yet many still face challenges related to fair employment, access to rights, social inclusion and participation in local communities.

Through the INTEGRALITY Project, organisations from Austria, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus are working together to promote fair working conditions, stronger integration and more inclusive agricultural communities.

Our Seeds of Dignity campaign puts people at the centre of this effort — raising awareness, strengthening access to information and encouraging cooperation between migrant workers, communities and institutions.

Because sustainable agriculture is not only about how we produce food. It is also about the people behind it.

🌾 6 August – Farmworker Appreciation Day

👩🏼‍🌾👨🏼‍🌾6 August is recognised as Farmworker Appreciation Day, a day dedicated to acknowledging the invaluable contribution of agricultural workers to our food systems, economies, and communities. Every fruit, vegetable, and agricultural product we consume is the result of the hard work, dedication, and commitment of millions of farmworkers around the world.

💡At the same time, this day reminds us that many agricultural workers—especially migrant and seasonal workers—continue to experience challenges such as labour exploitation, inadequate working conditions, limited access to information about their rights, and social exclusion. Ensuring safe workplaces, fair employment, and respect for workers’ rights is essential for building a sustainable and responsible agricultural sector.

📌These are also the core objectives of the INTEGRALITY – Seeds of Dignity project. Together with our European partners, Compass GmbH is working to promote decent work in agriculture by raising awareness of labour rights, strengthening community outreach, supporting migrant workers through Community Mobilizers, and encouraging cooperation between public authorities, employers, and civil society organisations.

🗣️On this 6 August, we thank all agricultural workers for their essential contribution and reaffirm our commitment to promoting dignity, fairness, inclusion, and safe working conditions for everyone working in agriculture.

📌SoWell4Youth Project Update📌
🔎Compass GmbH contributed to the implementation of the SoWell4Youth project by working with international partners and supporting the development and testing of the project’s educational resources.

💡Through its activities, Compass helped promote youth well-being, active participation, and social inclusion through sport. The project also supported the exchange of good practices and the development of practical tools for youth work across Europe.

📌We are proud to announce our new project, INCLUDE-EU, launching this September!

Supported by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme of the European Union, the project will work to promote inclusion and equality by tackling racial and ethnic discrimination, fostering belonging and active civic participation, and amplifying the leadership of Roma and migrant women.

Through participatory learning, co-creation and collaboration between educators, civil society and local authorities, INCLUDE-EU will help turn equality into everyday local practice.

🇪🇸 Last Transnational Project Meeting of the Sowell4Youth project took place in Alcalá la Real, Spain, on 5–6 May 2026.

During the meeting, partners reviewed the progress of the project, discussed the implementation of the final activities, and coordinated the next steps to ensure the successful delivery of the project results. Particular attention was given to strengthening cooperation, sharing national experiences, and enhancing the project’s impact in supporting young people through inclusive, sustainable, and community-based approaches.

🚀 STC Piloting Update

The STC piloting phase is officially underway! Several partners have already started delivering the training programme, while others will launch their pilot activities during the summer.

Participants are testing the STC curriculum and e-learning platform, helping us gather valuable feedback to further improve the training materials and learning experience.

The Safe Future project has officially started!
We were pleased to hold the first coordination meeting for the SAFE FUTURE project with our partners from the Iraqi Institution for Development (IID) in Mosul.
The meeting focused on planning IID’s key role in supporting the project through community engagement, misinformation mapping, culturally adapted awareness content, legal literacy activities, and outreach to vulnerable youth and families across Iraq.

Together, we discussed the next steps to ensure that project activities are locally relevant, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of Iraqi communities. Through close collaboration, SAFE FUTURE will strengthen access to reliable information, promote legal migration pathways, and build resilience against misinformation.

We look forward to a productive partnership and the positive impact we will create together.
