Nearly 50 000 Zimbabwean children dropped out of school in 2024 according to the Deputy Minister of Education Angeline Gata in her address to Parliament.

"Girls are dropping out because of pregnancy. This is a call to all of us - the House and parents - to work together with the community to address this issue," she said.
