When the big ones take care of the little ones 🥹

We still remember when C (the older one) took her first steps. And how O and E (the younger ones) came into our care only a few weeks old- now look how they’re sitting (and standing) on their own 🥺

It is the greatest joy to take care of these little ones, and watch them grow and thrive. All while their mammas complete their high school education.

This week’s theme: Voeltjies in die Lug 🦜🪶🍃

Every week at the Rural Reach Care Centre, our little ones explore a new theme as part of our age-appropriate early childhood development programme. Through songs, stories, sensory play, movement and simple activities, we help them learn about the world around them while developing those important little skills along the way.

This week, we’re looking up and learning all about the birds in the sky. 🪶 From their sounds and movements to feathers, nests and flying, there’s so much for little minds to discover!

Our curriculum is thoughtfully structured around key areas of early childhood development, giving each baby the opportunity to learn, explore and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. 🤍

When a young woman falls pregnant while still in high school, continuing her education can feel almost impossible.

At Rural Reach, our care centre provides free daycare for the babies of young moms, giving them the support they need to stay in school and complete their matric.

Because becoming a mother shouldn’t mean giving up on your future. 🌱

We’re creating a safe space for their little ones, while giving these young women the opportunity to finish school, build a future, and create a different path for themselves and their children.

Your monthly donations allow us to continue supporting young mothers and caring for their little ones at our Care Centre.
