Surf4Life was founded in 2011 as a surf event to help aid cancer treatment for a dear friend Taryn Pratt. Generously loving and accepting everyone she met, and her dedication and commitment towards surfing and the surfing community was inspirational. Growing Surf4Life from an event into an organisation is something that we feel very passionate about and we are excited about the prospects it hold

s for the future and development of surfing in South Africa, and the lives that we can change in the process. The Surf4Life events are close to our hearts and we feel this is a great opportunity to celebrate such an incredible person, who had a positive influence in so many peopleโ€™s lives, especially within the surf industry. The Surf4Life organisation through the Surf4Life events, funding and sponsorships, aims to take disadvantaged people and introduce them to the wonderful world of surfing, making them part of a lifestyle that celebrates the fun and excitement of surfing. Its all about developing people, building friendships, and welcoming people into the surfing family.

Safety takes many forms. And sometimes a change is as good as a holiday ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ Swimming when the surf doesnโ€™t play ball allows us to focus on building confidence and strength to tackle all conditions. Great to be a part of the winning formula! Congratulations to each of our four beneficiaries who competed in the Sea Harvest Grom Games in Muizenberg. The event run by showcases the incredible talent pipeline of surfing we have in place in the Cape - the future is now! Massive shout out to who took on the role of Coach and to .9830 who shone in her role as Team Manager. Extended thanks to too for the gees component and to .nel for his unwavering commitment and presence. This is how we grow!
