Today, the Institutional Governance Leadership, led by Kgosana Koketso Rakhudu, joined Senior Lecturer Ms Thato Kgwete and Ms Katlego Motlhamme at the Memorial Service and Candle Lighting for the send-off of the late Neo Letupu. The solemn service was coordinated by the SRC Leadership and students, bringing together the university community to honour and celebrate the life of their beloved friend and peer.

The attendance of Institutional Governance reflects our commitment to stand with our community during times of loss, and to support our students and staff with compassion and unity. We recognise the SRC and students for organising a dignified and heartfelt tribute that provided space for collective mourning, remembrance, and healing.

On behalf of Institutional Governance, we extend our deepest condolences to the Letupu family, friends, and the entire student body. May you find strength in each other and comfort in cherished memories. We pray that Neo’s soul rests in eternal peace.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of one of our dedicated students, the late Ms. Neo Letupu. Her commitment, kindness, and presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

We will be hosting a Memorial Service and Candle Lighting on Friday, 29 May 2026, at 10:00 AM at her home in Chaneng, Ramogotsi Section. Family, friends, and fellow students are invited to gather in remembrance and support.

May we come together to honor Neo’s life and legacy, and to offer comfort to her family during this difficult time. Your presence and prayers will mean a great deal to those she leaves behind.

Q1, Q2 of 2026 : WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING PROGRAMME.

Our students from 6 Skills Development Courses are currently completing their Work Integrated Learning placements with various companies across Rustenburg. This hands-on phase allows them to apply what they’ve learned in real workplace environments, build industry-relevant experience, and strengthen the confidence needed to thrive professionally.

At the Koketso Rakhudu Foundation, our mandate remains clear: to provide young people with relevant, practical skills that form the foundation for building a personal brand, starting a business, and pursuing continuous growth.

Each programme is designed not just for employment readiness, but to equip young people with the tools to create opportunities for themselves and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
