CELEBRATING ROYAL BAFOKENG EXCELLENCE | We celebrate Dr. Mojuta Motlhamme of the Royal Bafokeng Nation — Senior Lecturer & Deputy Subject Group Leader at NWU Mafikeng, MA, PGCE & PhD (Wits). Today we celebrate one of our own — Dr. Mojuta Motlhamme, a proud Young Professional of the Royal Bafokeng Nation.

Dr. Motlhamme serves as Senior Lecturer and Deputy Subject Group Leader in History Education at the North-West University (NWU), Mafikeng Campus.

A scholar of distinction, he holds an MA, PGCE and a PhD in History from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) — one of Africa's leading institutions.

His research focus is profound and close to our heritage: Setswana History, History Education, and the political biography of Kgosi Lucas Manyane Mangope— tracing his journey from Lehurutshe to the Presidency of Bophuthatswana and the historic transition of 1994.

Dr. Motlhamme represents what we stand for as Bafokeng: A people who continue to invest in themselves, in knowledge, and in the preservation of our story.

NEW APPOINTMENT | Mr Hlolelo Rampete

The Office of Kgosana Koketso Rakhudu is honoured to announce the appointment of Mr Hlolelo Rampete as Head of Department: ESG & Research, effective Monday, 07 September 2026.

Mr Rampete is no stranger to this institution. For the past five years, he has served with unwavering commitment, professionalism and integrity, demonstrating a deep understanding of our vision, values and community mandate.

In addition to leading our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy and Research portfolio, Mr Rampete will also serve in the additional strategic capacity as Secretary to the Office of Kgosana Koketso Rakhudu Advisory Board of Directors, and will provide support in the administration of the Trust Development.

This dual role reflects the trust we have in his leadership, governance acumen and institutional knowledge to strengthen corporate governance and drive sustainable development.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP ENGAGEMENT SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

The Office of Kgosana Koketso Rakhudu, Kgotla Ya Rakhudu – Tsitsing, successfully concluded a strategic Office Visit and Partnership engagement with the TEARS Foundation today, 03 September 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00 in Johannesburg, Cnr Grayston Drive.

The Office was proudly represented by Mr Maledu Paballo, Community Health Interventions Manager, and Mr Rapoo Brian, Operations and Systems.

The engagement focused on exploring collaborative opportunities, aligning community-based health interventions, and strengthening systems for impact. It was a fruitful and forward-looking dialogue anchored on our shared commitment to building stronger, sustainable strategic partnerships for community development.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the TEARS Foundation for the warm reception and for opening doors to meaningful collaboration.
