Jen Hatton and beautiful Wit gave an outstanding performance on Sunday, 2 August 2026 to place 1st🥇and win the QC!!! Jen is our fantastic Show Secretary for Hibiscus Kennel Club 🐾 〰️ known for her efficiency in crossing the✖️T’s and dotting the I’s 🟣

SURPRISE!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Andrew (our highly esteemed Treasurer of HKC) cleverly made us a beautiful Scentboard for our Club 🥳⭐♥️ We’re so proud to have this board, as not only are they hard to find, but it’s a sure fire 🔥 way to improve the nose work of our dogs.
At Hibiscus Kennel Club we are serious about bringing experience and excellence to our handlers across many different disciplines … Here we have Tyke, Kit, Pirate, Jacki, Shinga and Sazzy having their very first time with this Board. I think they proved to be mighty versatile doggos!!! Well done!! I think 🤔 it’s safe to say we really enjoyed the afternoon 🐾🎉♥️⭐🥳
Once again, thank you Andrew, your efforts with a very heavy board to work with, is truly appreciated 🥰

Sadly I didn’t get more pics, particularly Barbs practising her carting with little Twist 🥰🥰 Cutest scene ever. The pressure is on for Barbs as Twist achieved Top Grade and a QC (qualifying certificate) over the past wkd’s Championship Show!! Congrats Barbs, great achievement 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

Thank you Grant and Helen for coming down from Hillcrest for the day, to judge Hoopers at our recent Agility Show 🥰🥰 we’re so grateful to be able to offer another discipline at our Shows and what fun it is too!! 🎉⭐🥳
Kitkit,Tyke and Sazzy were our HKC contingent taking part amongst competitors from the Durban area ✔️and they had an absolute blast 💥
Thanks to Jenny and Elsie for providing training every Tuesday afternoon for HKC members to get their skill set going. Much appreciated 💐🐾

Eloise with Dash and Gem, beautiful Australian Shepherds 🥰🥰 had some super rounds at our recent Agility Show 🐾 with Dash scoring two x 2nd 🥈places in Non Contact and Dog Jumping, considering they had to jump the NAL (National Agility League) round as a Novice dog, this was great success 🥳⭐🎉 very well done Eloise!!!
Now back to the drawing board we go…!!! See you at HKC training for the next module ♥️

Attending our recent Agility Show was one of our younger members of Hibiscus Kennel Club, 18 months old Miss Sazzy Sixpence…. from the get go she loved attending classes at the Club and over time with the help of Ninette, Eloise, Chris and Suze MacCay, she became quite proficient in various skills such as obedience, scentwork, hoopers and agility 🥳🎉⭐
In other words 〰️ we have a well rounded, balanced, content Boston Terrier in our midst, with a job of work to do!!!
If you live on the Lower South Coast and have the drive, desire and curiosity to learn a new skill set with your beloved dog, why not join us …. Who knows where your journey will take you ♥️
Special mention is the generous tubs of fish collagen 🐠🐟 donated by ’n and Chris for our Agility Show prizes. Really great stuff 🐾✔️🐾 Thank you on behalf of Hibiscus Kennel Club and our competitors ♥️ Our dogs LOVE IT!!

Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?!
Hugest thanks go to Chris Korsten for bringing his patience, time and knowledge to Hibiscus Kennel Club yesterday, Saturday afternoon 🥳 so awesome to try something new ⭐🎉⭐ Thanks Eloise for participating so willingly and for the vids. Thanks to Suse MacCay for tips and advice 〰️ we’re a wonderful team!!! 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

Fantastic results for Kzn and HIBISCUS KENNEL CLUB with the perfect wins for Bernice (our committee member) and her gorgeous Shelties, Ty(medium) and Tansy(small)🐾🐾 In fact they had qualified with four Shelties in total, isn’t that just incredible!! Well done guys ♥️
Both Ty and Tansy are run by Bernice’s daughter Shelz 🎉⭐🎉 They have this incredible system with all their Shelties 〰️ trained by Bernice and run by Sheldene 🥰🥰
Secondly, we have Byron and Raven from Umtentweni, beautifully consistent and winning the Large class 🥳 clever Raven!!!
Jenny Hatton had both Bruno and Wit there, and jumped really well 🐾🐾 despite the thin air (gasp, gasp) and spongy grass, which us Natalians all felt 😁 Jen is our Show Secretary .
Michelle Howard had quite a few podium visits in the Smalls too! Look 👀 below for her pic! And Rosemary Ludwig was also there from Umtentweni ☀️
In fact, there were wonderful successes all round, fellowship and loads of laughs. Our South Coasters, you ROCK!!! 🎉⭐🥳♥️
The funniest (not funny) never to be forgotten story was Taryn, Pipps and Sam driving back 🚗 reaching halfway Harrismith and discovering an extra border collie on the back seat!! 😳🙈😳 oh my gosh!!! She belonged to their host and obviously decided a beach holiday was due!!! Yikes, back they went 🚗🚗🚗
So many stories, so many experiences, these only just touch on it 🕯️🐾♥️
So grateful, thank you 💐
