CRAGS MONDAY COMMUNITY CLEANUPS

Every Monday | 5–6pm

What if cleaning up our environment felt less like a chore…
and more like a celebration of who we could become together?

Join us for playful, feel-good community cleanups where we bring the vibe, the music, the curiosity and the collective spirit. Together we’ll care for our shared spaces while reconnecting to creativity, community and possibility.

Along the way, we’ll collect and learn about select materials that can be transformed through creative upcycling projects at the KUCONA Create & Connect Centre — turning “waste” into art, function, storytelling and connection.

This is not just about picking up litter.
It’s about reimagining value.
Reimagining community.
Reimagining ourselves.

No experience needed.
Bring gloves if you have them.
Bring your kids, your friends, your neighbour.
Come curious. Come playful.

The response from the Plett community after the storms has been incredible. 💙

People have shown up in their numbers to help clean beaches, remove litter and protect the coastline we all love.

But while the cleanup continues, many birds and other coastal animals are still displaced, injured, exhausted or recovering after the flooding.

Even calm, friendly dogs can disturb wildlife recovery efforts simply by being present — especially in sensitive dune and shoreline areas.

Right now, giving wildlife space is one of the most helpful things we can do.

So if you’re heading out to help clean up:
🐾 please avoid bringing dogs into dune systems and sensitive beach areas
🦶stick to designated pathways where possible
🪶give resting birds plenty of space

Foreign objects and certain marine life can also be hazardous to dogs.

Please also only remove litter and NOT any organic material such as sea grass, drift wood or parts of broken up dunes.

Thank you for helping Plett recover — both people and nature.
