Le Roux deel: "Ek het gister my tweede Comrades klaar gemaak. Dit was 'n uitmergelende ervaring, maar het my so baie geleer van die goodwill van mense - duisende langs die pad van Durban tot by Pietermaritzburg. Dis 'n wedloop wat baie mense doen juis omdat hulle nie 100% seker is hulle kán dit doen nie. So dit toets jou. So was dit ook vir my. Ek is baie dankbaar vir almal wat my ondersteun het, my familie en vriende wat saam met my bly is. As jy langafstande geniet, stel vir jouself die doelwit."

Baie geluk Le Roux, dit wil gedoen wees! 👏🏼

Ôn Saturday, 6 June 2026 Loaves and Fishes took part in a recovery soccer tournament held in Houtbay. Our team did exceptionally well and ended in the semi-finals. This was a day of fun and unity for everyone involved. These guys made us SO proud!

🏠 At Loaves and Fishes, we don't just share a roof - we share life.

Hebrews 10:24-25: "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another."

Some mornings it's a cup of coffee and a quiet "good morning." Other days, it's someone helping another, or a guest reminding a neighbor that they are not forgotten. We need each other, daily. Not because we're weak, but because we were made for community.

To the volunteers who show up before sunrise, to the donors who give without expecting thanks, and to every guest who chooses to keep going - you are the hands and feet of hope in this place.

Loaves and Fishes, Place of Renewal: We got the name from the Bible verse, Matthew 14:13–21: Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand. The reason for that is because just as Jesus took a small offering of five loaves and two fishes and multiplied it to meet the needs of the many, we believe that even limited resources, when shared with compassion and faith, can be multiplied to bring restoration, dignity, and hope to the most vulnerable.

Loaves and Fishes is a 2nd phase shelter for destitute men and women, offering them more than just a meal or a bed for the night — we provide a transitional space where they can rebuild their lives, gain stability, and move toward independent living.

Open Day / Opedag | Saterdag 18 April 2026. Maatskaplike werker Elmien (Mienkie) Erasmus gee bietjie terugvoer: "Die opkoms was goed en ons was meer as 70 mense. Dit was regtig 'n geestelike byeenkoms en ons as staff kon regtig met die families van ons kliente connect en ons prosesse met hulle verduidelik."

Loaves and Fishes Open Day on Saturday 18th April was a success and we thank all for showing up to celebrate recovery healing. OUR MISSION - To be a safe place of renewal where residential clients are able to re-build broken relationships.
