We are excited to welcome our new POCS students, who have started their 1-year internship at the Joint Operations Centre (JOC) in Mossel Bay. Over the next year, they will gain valuable hands-on experience, develop new skills, and work alongside our dedicated Law Enforcement and Traffic teams.

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 | 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲

Through continuous CCTV surveillance, community reporting via WhatsApp and telephone calls, and coordinated responses with emergency services and law enforcement, the Mossel Bay Joint Operations Centre managed 17 incidents during the past week.

📡 SURVEILLANCE & CCTV-REPORTED INCIDENTS (11)

Continuous CCTV monitoring enabled the early detection and escalation of public safety, fire, crime prevention, and public order incidents across the municipal area.

* Fire & smoke-related incidents (multiple locations)
Several fire-related incidents were detected in Kwanonqaba and surrounding areas, including a skip fire in Ndibaniso Street, shack fires behind Asla, near the Pig Farm, close to 7 de Laan, and thick smoke behind Garden Route School. Fire Services and Law Enforcement were deployed where required, with fires either extinguished or brought under control.

* Public gathering and protest monitoring
A gathering initially involving approximately 20 people on Crotz Street grew to more than 80 participants as the group moved through several areas, including Asla Park and Barcelona Circle. SAPS and Law Enforcement maintained a visible presence throughout the gathering to ensure public safety. The crowd later dispersed peacefully without incidents of violence, property damage, or road blockages.

* Assault incident (James Street)
CCTV operators observed a male assaulting a female. SAPS responded to the complaint and escorted the individuals after the situation had calmed down.

* Suspicious activity and crime prevention
– Two suspects were observed stealing streetlight wiring near the Dana Bay entrance on Louis Fourie Road. The suspects fled before officers arrived and remain under observation.
– Three suspicious individuals concealing their identities near MJ Harris were reported to SAPS. One suspect was arrested after being found in possession of an illegal substance.
– Approximately 30 individuals walking along the N2 towards Langeberg Mall were monitored and reported. It was later confirmed that they were foreign nationals moving to a safer area.

* Road traffic incident (George Road, De Bakke)
Emergency services responded to a motor vehicle incident. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol, refused to provide personal details, and was subsequently arrested. The vehicle was removed from the scene.

📲 WHATSAPP COMPLAINTS (1)

Community members continued to play an important role in reporting suspicious activity.

* Suspicious person (Bland Street)
A suspicious male was reported after being seen entering a property frontage, appearing to collect an item before leaving the area. SAPS and security services responded, however the individual had already left before arrival.

🔄 FOLLOW-UP COMPLAINTS (1)

* Abandoned vehicle (Suiderkruis)
A vehicle reported to have been parked in the same location for approximately 10 days was investigated by Law Enforcement. A seven-day removal notice was issued, and it was confirmed that the vehicle licence disc had expired.

🚓 SAPS ASSISTANCE & INVESTIGATIVE SUPPORT (1)

* Housebreaking investigation (Stinkhout Street, Heiderand)
The Joint Operations Centre provided extensive investigative support through CCTV playback analysis, vehicle tracking, and NAVIC technology. Multiple vehicles were investigated before CCTV footage positively identified the suspect vehicle as a Honda CR-V.

Through further playback analysis and vehicle tracking, officers established the vehicle's movements and identified the address linked to the registered owner. SAPS followed up at the property, located the vehicle, and arrested three individuals in connection with the investigation.

☎️ TELEPHONE COMPLAINTS (2)

* Power outage (Joe Slovo)
The complaint was escalated to the Municipal Call Centre, and power was successfully restored.

* Open fire complaint (N2 off-ramp towards Dana Bay Bridge)
Fire Services and Law Enforcement were notified. The fire was extinguished before officials arrived on scene.

* Request from Mossel Bay Detectives – Housebreaking & Theft Investigation
Playback footage relating to a housebreaking and theft case in Stinkhout Street was reviewed and downloaded. The footage was prepared for further investigative use.

📡 SURVEILLANCE & CCTV-REPORTED INCIDENTS (21)

Real-time CCTV monitoring enabled the rapid identification and escalation of crime prevention, public safety, fire, and by-law related incidents across the municipal area.

• Open fires & smoke-related incidents (multiple locations)
Open fires and smoke were detected near the Pig Farm area, Cuba, behind Asla near the N2, Dyosi Street, Ndibaniso Street in Elangeni, and the Sea Cottage PTZ area on the Hartenbos side.
Most incidents were successfully extinguished while being monitored or attended to by Fire Services and Law Enforcement.

• Suspicious activity & crime prevention operations
– Suspicious individual spotted at MJ Harris passage resulted in one arrest for possession of stolen goods.
– Two individuals stealing a gate near Adriaans & Dywili direction Frans Avenue were arrested by SAPS.
– Three suspicious males roaming around Cecil Shepard Pump Station with plastic bags and a flashlight were reported to SAPS and Law Enforcement.
– Two individuals carrying a large pole on Blue Waters Road were stopped; one suspect was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon, and the poles were confiscated for investigation.
– Individuals carrying suspected stolen property near Bill Jeff Pump Station fled before SAPS arrived.
– A suspect carrying a Total gas cylinder near Roselind & Dial Brand abandoned the cylinder and fled the area.

• Public safety & behavioural incidents
– A mentally disturbed individual walking in the middle of the road on Ockert Bothma was reported to SAPS; the person left the area before officers arrived.
– A fight at the back of Asla Park resulted in SAPS intervention and arrests.
– Three suspicious individuals trespassing near Church & 21st Street fled the scene while being monitored by CCTV.

• Illegal activities & by-law enforcement
– Illegal structure activity in Bokwe Street and JCC Camp informal settlement was investigated by Law Enforcement.
– Illegal sand mining near the N2 Dana Bay bridge resulted in warnings being issued and municipal by-laws explained to offenders.
– A shack being erected in Cuba, Kwanonqaba, was reported for ongoing monitoring and follow-up.

• Suspicious vehicle monitoring
A suspicious vehicle linked to alleged housebreaking and drug-related activities near 9th Avenue & Van Zyl was investigated. It was confirmed that the registered owner had already been arrested and another individual was driving the vehicle.

• Public assistance monitoring
A vehicle being pushed near Mikeva Circle towards Mossel Street was monitored to ensure traffic flow remained unaffected. The vehicle was safely removed without causing obstruction.

📲 WHATSAPP COMPLAINTS (4)

Community reporting assisted in the rapid escalation of criminal, fire, and emergency-related incidents.

• Cable theft (Grunter Street)
SAPS responded after suspects fled the scene. The area was patrolled.

• Dustbin fire (Marsh Street)
Firefighters attended and successfully extinguished the fire.

• Motor vehicle accident (Seder Street)
Emergency services responded after a vehicle collided with a tree. The injured person was transported to hospital.

• Theft complaint (Mr Cheap Shop, Marsh Street)
SAPS attended the complaint. The matter was resolved on scene and no case was opened.

🚓 SAPS ASSISTANCE & INVESTIGATIVE SUPPORT (2)

• Vehicle tracing assistance – Theft investigation
The Joint Operations Centre assisted SAPS in locating an Opel Corsa linked to a theft case using NAVIC monitoring systems. Investigation revealed the vehicle was operating with cloned/false registration plates. Information was relayed to the investigating officer.

• Fire location assistance (Crotz Street)
CCTV cameras were used to locate a skip fire in the area. Fire Department responded and successfully extinguished the fire.

☎️ TELEPHONE COMPLAINTS (2)

• Missing elderly woman investigation
Playback footage was conducted to trace the last known location of an 83-year-old woman and her vehicle near Louis Fourie and Marsh Street. During the investigation, confirmation was received that the woman had been found safe and admitted to hospital.

• Suspicious vehicle linked to alleged cash-in-transit activity
A silver Audi A4 was monitored through CCTV and NAVIC systems after being reported suspicious in the Mossel Bay area. SAPS remain on the lookout for the vehicle.

CCTV playback was conducted regarding an incident involving a silver Nissan and white truck near Marsh & Cape Street on 20/05/2026. Relevant footage was successfully located and will be handed over to the investigating officer.

🟢 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 22
Ongoing surveillance operations enabled the JOC to identify and monitor several suspicious, criminal, and emergency-related incidents across Mossel Bay.

Highlights included:

Two individuals caught poaching illegal plants opposite Fynbos Heights Lifestyle Village, resulting in their arrest and a follow-up investigation by Cape Nature.

An armed suspect carrying a dangerous weapon arrested in MJ Harris, and two individuals caught jumping through toilet windows at De Bakke Beach.

A robbery and stabbing incident observed at Flora Road entrance, and three individuals spotted with a large amount of copper cable in James Street, with immediate handover to SAPS.

Suspected theft of roofing timber on Blue Waters Road, and illegal electrical tampering detected in Mokaba Street and Ockert Bothma.

An illegal structure construction and renovation monitored at JCC Camp, resulting in a joint response by Law Enforcement and the Red Ants.

Reckless and negligent driving intercepted on Mayixhale Street, where a taxi was immediately pursued by Municipal Traffic officers.

Several patrols were conducted by SAPS, Law Enforcement, and Traffic Services, while continuous monitoring assisted field officers with real-time updates and suspect tracking.

🟢 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 9
Smoke, open flames, and fire-related hazards were rapidly identified through strategic CCTV monitoring across multiple residential and industrial areas.

Incidents included:

A severe shack fire involving six structures in Elangeni, successfully extinguished by the Fire Department.

Rubbish, waste, and open fires monitored in Barcelona, Sijaji Street, Kwanonqaba Transfer Station, and next to the Elangeni pig farm.

Multiple skip fires extinguished by on-duty shifts in Mountain View, Luthuli, and Ndibaniso Street.

Heavy smoke monitored on Watson Street towards Voorbaai, and a controlled veld fire verified at Ockert Bothma.

The Fire Department, Law Enforcement, and proactive community members responded promptly to ensure all active fires were safely managed or extinguished.

🟢 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀𝗔𝗽𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 6
Community reporting channels remained highly active, providing vital ground intelligence that allowed the JOC to coordinate rapid responses to local issues.

Complaints attended to included:

A business theft at Agri in Voorbaai, leading to the arrest of three suspects and the recovery of stolen goods by SAPS.

A person tampering with an electrical box near the George Street clinic, who was successfully removed by Law Enforcement.

Power outages reported and successfully resolved by the Electrical Department in Gentswana Zone 8 and Grant Street, De Bakke.

Medical emergency coordination for a deceased individual in Jansen Street, with immediate dispatch confirmation from the ambulance services.

A complaint regarding a person sleeping in public on Marsh Street, resolved through a joint response by Absolut Security and SAPS.

Technical services, private security partners, and emergency services responded efficiently to ensure community grievances were resolved.

🟢 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 & 𝗦𝗔𝗣𝗦 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 – 1
The Joint Operations Centre continued providing critical investigative backup and video playback support to SAPS detectives.

Assistance included:

Extensive camera playback and ongoing tracking conducted along Kanarie Street to locate a robbery suspect.

Monitoring efforts successfully pinpointed the suspect's movements at multiple intervals during the night, with real-time location data directly relayed to responding SAPS units.

Highlights included:
* Suspected cable theft and suspicious persons carrying possible stolen property in Ockert Bothma and Blue Waters
* Illegal electrical connections detected in Mokaba Street and Great Brak River
* Fires monitored in Kwanonqaba and Langeni, with Fire Department response where required
* A motorbike accident observed at the R102 & Da Gama intersection, where bystanders assisted the rider
* Suspicious individuals detained in Tarka for possession of illegal substances
* SAPS responding to suspicious individuals in Blue Waters, Cape Road, Church Street, and surrounding areas, resulting in arrests and suspects being taken into custody

Several patrols were conducted by SAPS and Law Enforcement, while continuous monitoring assisted officers with real-time updates and suspect movements.

🔥 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 3
Smoke and fire-related incidents were identified through CCTV monitoring in Kwanonqaba and Langeni areas.

Incidents included:
* Illegal rubbish burning near the pig farm in Kwanonqaba
* A skip fire in Ndibaniso Street
* A large fire in Cuba Street, Langeni

The Fire Department and community members responded promptly, and all fires were successfully extinguished.

Multiple suspicious activities and public disturbances were reported and monitored during the week.

These included:
* Suspected theft of electrical cables, poles, zinc sheets, and vehicle rims
* Suspicious persons roaming residential areas
* Public nuisance complaints and intoxicated individuals
* Illegal electricity connections
* Disorderly behaviour and suspects attempting to evade officers

Joint responses by SAPS, Law Enforcement, private security, and community safety partners led to arrests, patrols, confiscations, and successful interventions.

Community reporting channels remained active throughout the week, assisting the JOC in responding quickly to incidents.

Complaints attended to included:
* Loud noise and fighting in the Point area
* Attempted wire theft in Bland Street
* Ambulance assistance requested in Heiderand
* Power outage at JCC Camp informal settlement
* Illegal electricity connection in Great Brak River

Technical Services, SAPS, Fire Department, Scorpios Security, and Law Enforcement responded where necessary, with power successfully restored at JCC Camp.

🎥 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 & 𝗦𝗔𝗣𝗦 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 – 2
The Joint Operations Centre continued providing investigative and operational support to SAPS.

Assistance included:
* CCTV playback and footage downloads for a drowning investigation in De Bakke
* Vehicle tracking and playback assistance during a missing person investigation in Kwanonqaba

Monitoring efforts assisted SAPS and family members with locating the last known movements linked to the investigation.

We remain committed to enhancing public safety through technology-driven monitoring, rapid response coordination, and strong partnerships with emergency services, law enforcement, and the community.

The Joint Operation Centre (JOC) in Mossel Bay recently welcomed Hein Jacobs, Acting Head of Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital, for an official visit and guided tour of the facility.

The visit highlighted the importance of collaboration between emergency services, healthcare institutions, and law enforcement in supporting community safety and coordinated response efforts.

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 | 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲

Through ongoing CCTV surveillance, public reporting via WhatsApp and telephone calls, and coordinated action with emergency services and law enforcement agencies, the Mossel Bay Joint Operations Centre successfully managed 28 incidents during the past week.

𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄:

🎥 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 – 17

The JOC continued proactive monitoring across various areas, identifying suspicious behaviour, fires, service-related concerns, and public disturbances.

Key incidents included:
* Suspicious individuals monitored in Kanarie Street, Dana Bay entrance, and the Voorbaai railway direction, with SAPS and neighbourhood watch structures responding where required.
* Multiple fire and smoke-related incidents identified in Gestwana, Elengeni, Ndabiniso Street, New Rest, and Mokaba Street, resulting in rapid response from Fire Department teams.
* Public drinking and nuisance behaviour at Santos Beach addressed in coordination with Bamogale Security.
* A possible water pipe burst at Rodger & Bayview was escalated and resolved by Water and Sanitation.
* Law Enforcement attended incidents involving illegal hawking, public fires, illegal structures, and unauthorised building activities.
* CCTV operators monitored an altercation in Thembelihle where bystanders successfully prevented escalation.
* SAPS Visible Policing conducted a vehicle stop-and-search operation in Alhof & Da Gama, resulting in the arrest of a female suspect.

📞 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 2

Complaints received telephonically were attended to and escalated to the relevant departments:
* Oyster harvesting near Great Brak River was investigated by Law Enforcement and SAPS, where permits were confirmed.
* A power outage in Extension 23 was referred to the Electrical Department for attention.

💬 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀𝗔𝗽𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 6

Community members continued to play an important role by reporting incidents through the JOC WhatsApp line.

Reported matters included:
* Loud music and noise nuisance at Munro Beach.
* Suspected drunk driving at Garden Walk Mall.
* An abandoned vehicle in Stasie Street.
* Electricity outages in Gentswana Drive and Extension 13.
* Aggressive individuals causing disturbances near Gys Smalberger Street.
* A mudslide incident in Hartenbos Heuwels, attended by Disaster Management and Fire Department officials.

🚨 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 1

* A burst sewerage pipe flooding Point Road in the CBD was reported and successfully repaired by Municipal workers.

🎬 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 & 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 – 2

The JOC provided investigative support to Mossel Bay Detectives through CCTV playback and footage downloads relating to:
* Reckless and negligent driving incidents at Essenhout & Louis Fourie Road.
* A reckless and negligent driving case on George Road near De Bakke Beach.

🚒 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 – 1

* CCTV operators assisted the Fire Department in locating a fire behind Protea Park in Mayixhale Street, allowing firefighters to respond and extinguish the blaze efficiently.

We remain committed to enhancing public safety through technology-driven monitoring, rapid response coordination, and strong partnerships with emergency services, law enforcement, and the community.

🚨 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀 & 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 – 𝟰
* Code One incidents were monitored in Mayixhale (Second Circle), Essenhout & Louis Fourie Road, and Louis Fourie Road.
* Emergency services, Law Enforcement and Fire & Rescue responded to all reported scenes.
* Several vehicles were involved in collisions, with injured persons transported to hospital where necessary.
* A reckless and negligent driving case was opened following one of the incidents.

🔥 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 & 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 𝟯
* CCTV operators detected smoke and fire activity in Asla Informal Settlement, Giyani Informal Settlement and Ndibaniso Street.
* Fire Department crews responded promptly and successfully extinguished all fires.
* Early detection through camera monitoring assisted in preventing further spread of fire risks.

🚓 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗘𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 & 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 – 𝟳
* A shoplifting complaint at Garden Walk Mall, Checkers, resulted in an arrest after SAPS attended the scene.
* Complaints relating to illegal parking, suspected cable theft, illegal connections, illegal building activity and disorderly behaviour were attended to by SAPS, Municipal Traffic and Law Enforcement.
* A Section 341 notice and additional warnings/fines were issued where applicable.
* Officers also assisted an intoxicated homeless person at the CBD Taxi Rank by moving the individual to a place of safety.

📹 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩 & 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 – 𝟯
* CCTV playback footage relating to a hit-and-run incident in Montagu Street on 22/04/2026 at 11h10 was successfully downloaded and provided for further investigation.
* CCTV operators assisted SAPS in locating a missing person investigation linked to Schoeman Street. Playback footage captured a White Kia on Marsh & Cape Camera OV2 at 00h21 on 27/04/2026 travelling towards 16th/17th Avenue. The individual was later found safely.
* NAVIC tracking systems were also utilised during a missing person follow-up complaint linked to the George area.

📞 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 𝟮
* An electrical outage at JCC Camp, Walvis Street, was escalated through the municipal call centre and later restored successfully.
* Public complaints received through WhatsApp and telephone channels were monitored and attended to accordingly.

🤝 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 & 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝗨𝗽 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 – 𝟮
* CCTV operators assisted NSRI and emergency responders during ongoing search operations at De Bakke Beach on 25 and 26 April 2026 by providing playback analysis and directional guidance.
* A photo indicating the recommended search direction was sent to NSRI Control at 08h53 on 26/04/2026. Divers adjusted their search area accordingly, and the missing child was recovered shortly thereafter at approximately 08h59, with recovery from the water confirmed at 09h00.
* Additional assistance was provided to SAPS and the Fire Department through monitoring, playback reviews and situational coordination.

Multiple fires were detected through CCTV monitoring across areas including Dana Bay, Elangeni, Kwanonqaba, and Aalwyndal.

* Rapid response by Fire Department and Law Enforcement ensured all fires were extinguished.
* Incidents included veld fires, skip fires, and illegal burning of rubble.
* Enforcement actions included warnings and by-law fines.

🚓 Crime Prevention & Law Enforcement – 6
Proactive monitoring and public reports led to several interventions:

* Suspicious individuals and potential theft cases were reported and investigated.
* Arrest made for possession of narcotics at De Bakke Beach.
* Illegal activities addressed, including an unlicensed car wash and public drinking.
* Traffic and by-law enforcement resulted in multiple Section 56 notices issued.

🚗 Traffic & Public Safety – 2

* Reckless driving incident involving damage to infrastructure (electrical poles) monitored and escalated.
* Obstruction of pedestrians by public transport addressed with enforcement action.

📞 Community Complaints (Telephone & WhatsApp) – 4

* Emergency response to a shack fire in Mayekiso Street, where one fatality was reported.
* Robbery complaint referred to SAPS for further investigation.
* Power outage in Jo Slovo informal settlement resolved by technical teams.
* Medical emergency assisted, with patient transported to hospital.

🎥 Investigative Support – 1

CCTV footage successfully retrieved and handed to detectives for a reckless and negligent driving case.

🤝 Operational Support Highlights:
Continuous assistance provided to Fire Department during a large-scale fire in the Industria/Aalwyndal area.
Strong collaboration between CCTV operators, SAPS, Law Enforcement, and emergency services ensured swift response and resolution across incidents.
