❤️ One blanket. One smile. One act of kindness at a time. ❤️

This week our hearts were filled with gratitude and joy as we had the privilege of handing out blankets to some of our beloved senior citizens in our community.

As the cold winter days continue, many of our elderly residents face the difficult reality of facing the cold with very little to keep them warm. For many of our seniors, a warm blanket is not just a comfort—it is a necessity. Seeing their smiles, hearing their words of appreciation, and witnessing the happiness on their faces reminded us how powerful even the smallest act of kindness can be.

We would like to extend our deepest and most sincere gratitude to our incredible donor Letitia Coetzee - Mrs Bold Finalist 2026 , for making this initiative possible. Your generosity has brought warmth, comfort, and hope to elderly members of our community who need it most. Because of your support, many seniors will sleep a little warmer and feel a little more cared for this winter.

Our seniors are the pillars of our community. They have spent their lives caring for others, and it is an honour for us to give back to them with dignity, respect, and love.

🌟 What a Joyful Week! 🌟

We are absolutely over the moon with excitement! This week, 50 incredible children received survival backpacks overflowing with essentials, all thanks to the amazing efforts of Tannie Debbie and her wonderful team! 🥳💖 The sheer joy on their faces was priceless, and it filled our hearts with happiness to see their smiles light up the day!

And that’s not all—6 remarkable moms were also gifted beautiful baby bags packed with delightful goodies! 🎁👶 The joy and gratitude in their eyes were truly heartwarming. Your kindness has made a lasting impact on these families, bringing hope and happiness into their lives!

​Last week, we had the absolute privilege of witnessing a moment that words truly cannot capture. We were able to assist a courageous young lady with a much-needed wheelchair, and the expression of pure joy and relief on her face was something we will never forget. It is moments like these that remind us why we do what we do.

This courageous young woman is bravely confronting the challenges posed by MND and SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). Her journey demands extraordinary resilience, not only from herself but also from the supportive community rallying around her.

​While the wheelchair has provided newfound mobility, the journey doesn't stop here. To help her maintain her strength and quality of life, assistance toward specialized exercise equipment is still urgently needed.

🌟 Help Keep Our Kids Warm This School Year! 🌟

Dear Friends,

As we settle into a new term at Laerskool Ebenhaeser, we have received an overwhelming number of requests from families in need of second-hand school clothing. Many of our little ones are facing the chilly days ahead without the proper gear to keep them warm.

Imagine the heartache of a child who loves school but shivers through the day without a comfortable tracksuit or a cozy jersey. It’s heartbreaking to think that something so simple could make such a significant difference in their lives.

If you have any gently used tracksuits, jerseys, or warm clothing that your children have outgrown, please consider donating them to help our students stay warm and focused on their studies. Every little bit helps and can bring a smile to a child's face.
