Wednesday’s Word
“Gird Up Your Loins”
Last week we asked, “What difference can you make today?” This week, Peter reminds us that it starts with a prepared mind and heart.
In 1 Peter 1:13, “gird up the loins of your mind” means getting ready for action. Just as we prepare for work or service, God calls us to be spiritually ready.
Do not let fear, distraction, or yesterday’s burdens hold you back. Focus on Christ and be ready to serve.
Scripture
“Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”— 1 Peter 1:13 (NKJV)
Challenge for the week
Begin each day by asking God to strengthen your focus and use you to bring hope to others.
