CYDS NPO LIVE ON UMGUNGUNDLOVU FM - YESTERDAY 4-5PM📍

Yesterday we had a successful interview on Umgungundlovu FM with Sister Sthoko.

We were invited as Child and Youth Development Structures (CYDS) NPO, but since our CYDS members were not available, I was accompanied by two dedicated members of Umsunduze Youth Crime Prevention Desk - Nkazimulo Mncube and Lungelo Mchunu - who stood in as CYDS representatives.

We spoke about:
⚽ The power of sports in our communities
🛡️ What we are doing as CYDS NPO to keep youth away from crime
🤝 Talent Against Crime - using talent to build safer communities

Thank you to Umgungundlovu FM and Sister Sthoko for the platform. Thank you to the community that tuned in!

More pictures and clips will be shared later.

YOUTH DIALOGUE SUCCESS - kwaManzamnyama!

Yesterday, 17 October, I was honoured to speak at Number 1, Mbambangalo - kwaManzamnyama Community Hall during the Youth Community Dialogue hosted by Umsunduze Youth Crime Prevention Desk.

I shared the story and vision of CYDS NPO (Child and Youth Development Structures) - Our Youth, Our Future and partnership with Umsunduze Youth Desk under the theme: "Stronger Youth, Safer Communities, Brighter Future."

The hall with young people ready to choose talent over crime, sport over drugs, and dialogue over violence. Together with SAPS (SAPS Crime Stop 08600 10111), we are proving that when youth are given a platform, they become the solution.

Thank you to Msunduzi Youth Crime Prevention Desk for the partnership.
From Durban to Pietermaritzburg - we are building one movement.

CYDS NPO is here to stay. Together We Can Make a Difference!

OUR GIRLS. OUR FUTURE. OUR PRIDE! 💚🏐

Yesterday after school in Cato Ridge, as CYDS NPO leader, I witnessed something beautiful. Our young girls training netball together for 1h30 — even without their coach present and with limited resources, they showed discipline, teamwork and real leadership.

This is why CYDS exists. We are known for soccer boys, but our girls are rising and they deserve the same support and safe spaces.

We celebrate you! CYDS will be reaching out to support.
