WaterCan Testing Week is coming!

From 14–18 September 2026, Pondoland Pride will be joining the movement under the theme: “Observing today, protecting tomorrow.”

We’ll be putting water quality in the spotlight and some of our schools are getting involved! 👀💙

But which schools? WATCH THIS SPACE! We’ll be revealing our participating schools next week! Because what we observe today can help us protect our water tomorrow.

This September, Pondoland Pride is taking action to grow a greener, healthier future through our Tree Planting Drive.

We believe that every tree planted today is an investment in tomorrow, providing cleaner air, protecting our soil and water, supporting biodiversity, and creating healthier communities. We are inviting organisations, community groups, environmental partners, businesses and passionate volunteers to join us and help us put more trees in the ground.

Whether you can contribute trees, resources, expertise, sponsorship or simply your time and hands, there is a place for you in this movement. Let’s plant. Let’s nurture. Let’s grow. 'Pondoland Pride seeds for tomorrow'

🌌 A RARE TRIPLE CELESTIAL EVENT — AUGUST 12, 2026 ✨

August 12, 2026, will be an extraordinary night for skywatchers. Three spectacular celestial events come together within the same day. 🌠

🔭 BEFORE SUNRISE — SIX-PLANET ALIGNMENT
Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune will appear across the morning sky. The outer planets will require binoculars or a telescope to observe clearly.

☀️ TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE
The Moon will completely cover the Sun along the path of totality, creating one of nature’s most dramatic sights.

☄️ AFTER DARK — PERSEID METEOR SHOWER PEAK
