Bridging course for Teaching (For those who don't qualify for th Bachelor of Education in 🇿🇦)
💡The University of South Africa (UNISA) is the ONLY University in South Africa which has a “Bridging course" which is specifically meant for Teaching.
It the ONLY university which has bridging courses which helps you qualify you for the "Bachelor of Education" degree even though you do not qualify with your matric results.
đź’ˇSo what this means is you can do these bridging courses regarding of whether you got a Higher Certificate or diploma pass or low aps or marks as long as you qualify for the bridging course.
UNISA has 3 Bridging courses in Education.
Each Higher certificate is specifically meant to qualify you for a certain Bachelor of Education degree.
They have one for:
✅️•Foundation phase and Intermediate training
✅️•Senior Phase Maths and Sciences
✅️•Senior Phase and Further Education Training
❗No other University in the country has an option to study the "Bachelor of Education" if you don’t have a Bachelor pass and if you don’t have the requirement APS and marks required for the Bachelor of Education.
With all other universities in South Africa, its either you qualify for the Bachelor of Education, or you don’t.
❌They mostly do not have any alternative ways to qualify you for the Bachelor of Education.
❗ If you don’t meet the requirements at other universities:
✅️•You either have to go and UPGRADE until you qualify OR
✅️•You simply enroll for another degree THEN after graduating you can do your PGCE.

Anyone CAN study the Bachelor of Education and end up being a QUALIFIED TEACHER.

UNISA Higher Certificates:
✅️•Duration (Only 1 yeat then you are done)
✅️•Fully funded by NSFAS (Yes NSFAS Funds Higher certificates from UNISA)

đź’ˇNSFAS will fund you for BOTH your Higher Certificate plus your degree.
