We develop outcome measures to assess the impact of treatment for those with dermatological diseases.

International Dermatology Outcome Measures (IDEOM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing evidence-based outcome measures to evaluate the impact of treatments for patients with dermatological diseases.

Some of the most meaningful progress in research starts with a simple conversation.

Poster sessions bring the dermatology community together in a way few other formats can. Researchers share their latest findings, attendees ask questions, and ideas take shape through open, face-to-face exchange. These moments of connection help move the science forward and spark the collaborations that lead to better outcome measures.

Advancing patient care takes input from everyone invested in it, and every conversation brings us closer to measures that reflect what truly matters to people living with dermatologic disease.

Psoriatic disease goes beyond the skin - and measuring that broader burden requires the right tools..

The IDEOM MSK-Q is a free, validated, 9-item patient-reported outcome measure designed to assess musculoskeletal symptom burden in people with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
It captures key dimensions of the patient experience over a 14-day recall period,, including:

✅ Musculoskeletal symptom intensity
✅ Impact on daily life
✅ Fatigue

The IDEOM MSK-Q is free to use in clinical trials, observational research, and clinical practice. A brief copyright agreement is required to ensure proper attribution.

In loving memory of John J. Latella.

John was a long-time IDEOM Patient Research Partner, past Board Member, and dear friend. Living with psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and Parkinson’s disease, he turned his experience into a gift for others, contributing to our work in psoriatic disease and mentoring newly diagnosed patients with warmth and wisdom.

He was a Navy veteran, a talented woodworker, and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always showed up for the people he loved.

Our hearts are with his wife Vivian, his daughters, and his entire family. Thank you, John, for everything you gave to this community. You will be deeply missed.

A moment of community from our Vitiligo Workgroup 💚

This group is united by one shared goal: making sure vitiligo treatments are measured by what matters most to the people living with it.

Vitiligo is more than skin deep, and our research should reflect that. When every voice is included, better care follows.
