On October 10th, Caring Partners of Morris & Sussex proudly participated in the Morris County Out of the Darkness Walk, joining our community in raising awareness for su***de prevention and supporting those affected by su***de.

This year marked our 5th year participating as a team, and we were honored to have 32 walkers join us, including 13 staff members along with their friends and family. Together, we raised $3,205 to support su***de prevention, education, advocacy, and hope for those who need it most.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, walked, and supported our efforts. Every conversation, every step, and every contribution helps break the stigma surrounding mental health and reminds others that they are not alone.

📢 FY 2028 Community Resource Development Funds RFP Now Open

Caring Partners of Morris & Sussex is pleased to announce that the FY 2028 Community Resource Development Funds Request for Proposals (RFP) is now open.

💰 $67,697 in one-time funding is available to support the development of new programs or the expansion of existing programs that promote the well-being, safety, and health of youth with emotional, behavioral, substance use, and intellectual/developmental needs in Morris and Sussex Counties.

📅 Funding period: July 1, 2027 – June 30, 2028

📝 Applications will be reviewed by a committee of community members from Morris and Sussex Counties.

⏰ Proposal Deadline: Wednesday, January 6, 2027, at 5:00 PM

Last Friday, New Jersey’s Care Management Organizations (CMOs), along with elected and appointed officials, gathered at Mill Hill Park in Trenton to celebrate a remarkable milestone, the 25th Anniversary of NJCMO!

Representing a statewide network of 15 nonprofit CMOs, we proudly recognize the impact made every day for children and families facing mental health challenges, behavioral health needs, substance use needs, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated staff, partners, and colleagues whose compassion, commitment, and hard work continue to change lives across New Jersey. Your efforts help ensure that children and families have access to the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Here's to 25 years of service, advocacy, and hope, and to many more years of making a difference in our communities!

Today, we say goodbye to Thomas as he begins an exciting new chapter in his career. For nearly 10 years, Thomas has been a valued member of the Caring Partners family, consistently bringing enthusiasm, dedication, and a positive attitude to everything he does.

He worked for the Quality and Compliance department but assisted the whole organization, wherever and whenever he was asked. No matter what the task was, Thomas was always ready to jump in, complete it right away, and ask how else he could help. His smile, energy, and willingness to support any project made him a joy to work with. Beyond his great work ethic, Thomas is also a remarkably talented artist, and we have been fortunate to enjoy his creativity over the years.

While we will truly miss Thomas, we are excited for him and know his new organization is gaining an outstanding team member. Please join us in thanking Thomas for his many contributions and wishing him continued success and happiness in his new role. We know he will do amazing things!

On Friday, Caring Partners attended the 8th Annual Morris County Mental Health and Addiction Coalition Legislative Breakfast, where advocates, community organizations, and elected officials came together to discuss the future of mental health services and support systems.
Events like these provide valuable opportunities to learn, collaborate, and advocate for the needs of the individuals and families we serve every day. We are grateful to be part of a community that continues to prioritize mental health and well-being

Yesterday was a busy and rewarding day for Caring Partners! We had the opportunity to participate in Norwescap's Frolic in the Park, an event designed to bring families together while connecting them with valuable local resources and support services. We also attended Halsted Middle School's Back-to-School Night, where we were able to share information about our services and connect with students, families, and school staff.

We are always grateful for opportunities to engage with our community, build new connections, and help ensure individuals and families are aware of the resources available to support their well-being. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about Caring Partners!

Yesterday, Caring Partners had the pleasure of attending the Sparta Community Food Pantry’s Community Resource Event. We enjoyed sharing information about our services while connecting with community members and local organizations. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table.
