We are returning to Nigeria to strengthen the saints. We go to people with whom relationships have already begun-to listen, teach, encourage, and equip believers for faithful ministry. Our priorities: share the gospel of peace, make serious biblical education accessible with generous scholarships, and strengthen our local team so they can lead and multiply. Will you pray with us? Is Democracy Experiencing a "Scarcity of the Soul"? 🌍

Modern secular democracy is often called the "least bad" form of government, but many of us feel the structural failures. From tribalism to "post-truth" confusion, the system is struggling because it relies on human pillars that are currently under-resourced. Sociologists like Robert Putnam and Alexis de Tocqueville noted that a thriving society needs Maturity, Information, and Civic Virtue. But in a "Zero-Sum" world where resources and glory are seen as finite, we often default to competition over community.

There is a "Third Way"—what John 17 reveals as Divine Democracy (the ekklesia). Unlike secular systems that demand uniformity or mere tolerance, Christ offers three supernatural, unlimited gifts to build true unity in diversity:

Eternal Life (Zoe): The "divine genetic" that transforms us from a tribal edah into a singular living organism.

Truth: A unified knowledge field that anchors us against "fake news" and manipulation.

Glory: The "fuel" of the assembly that moves us from seeking to dominate to seeking to serve. Let’s stop trying to manufacture virtue through legal thresholds and start living out the ekklesia.

Paul’s call to “deny yourself” was never meant to divide — it was meant to dismantle the walls that keep us apart. In part 2 of Paul’s Experience of the Cross in a Polarized World, we look at how dying to our preferences and political labels opens the way for true ekklesia: staying at the table, valuing unity over being right, and becoming “all things to all men.” Read the full reflection by Henry Hon and join the conversation: https://wix.to/lWD4NNK

Historically, "deny yourself" is often misapplied to personal holiness, causing judgment and division. However, Paul’s experience of the cross was a profound denial of his own preferences and cultural biases to create the ekklesia. By becoming "all things to all men," he modeled flexibility as the...

The cross is bigger than personal holiness—it breaks down walls of spiritual pride and coerced uniformity. Read how the cross levels the ground to form One New Man: a diverse, unified ekklesia where differences thrive in love. Read more: https://wix.to/FPKTP7h

The cross of Christ is often viewed narrowly as a tool for personal salvation and sanctification, which can inadvertently foster spiritual pride and coerced uniformity. However, a contextual reading reveals its real scope as a horizontal instrument designed to abolish enmities. Instead of creating "...

A divided humanity cannot reflect an indivisible God.

Why is unity so difficult to achieve?

Throughout history, our pursuit of "oneness" has ironically caused more division. In my latest paper, Diversity in Unity Expressing the Trinity, I explore how the Ekklesia was designed to be a "Multitude-One" assembly—a direct reflection of the Triune God. It’s time to move past organizational ecumenism and toward an organic, supernatural unity that proves the Gospel to a fractured world.

As we wrap up our study of God’s Eternal Purpose, remember this: You were made for more than going to heaven. 🕊️✨

God’s plan, formed before the world began, was to gain a family on earth. A group of people so joined to Him and so united in the "Common Faith" that the world would look at them and see Jesus.

The Lord’s Ekklesia is a people gathered in oneness by shared life. It is grassroots, it is powerful, and it is available to you right now. Going to “church” can be helpful, but the goal is to participate in Lord’s Ekklesia outside the four walls; you just need to be gathered with others in the name and life of the Lord.
Let’s not just "go to church" and start BEING a member in His Ekklesia.

Did you know the word "church" isn't actually the best translation for the original Greek word ekklesia? 📜🧐

Chapter 1 of One Ekklesia, explains a fascinating bit of history. For centuries, we’ve used a word that refers to a "building" or "Lord's house" (Kuriakos). But Jesus used a word from the Greek democratic city-states: Ekklesia.

An Ekklesia wasn't a building you went to; it was an Assembly of citizens called out to manage the affairs of the city.

When Jesus said, "I will build my Ekklesia," He wasn't talking about brick and mortar or religious hierarchies. He was talking about the US—a participatory, diverse, Spirit-filled assembly of people.

CTA: Does it change your perspective to think of yourself as part of a "Democratic Assembly" rather than just a "church member"? Let’s discuss! 🗣️
