🦷✨ Happy Dental Hygiene Month! ✨🦷

Today, leaders of the Sacramento Valley Dental Hygienists’ Association (SVDHA) visited Senator Niello’s district office in Rancho Cordova to discuss CDHA’s legislative priorities for 2027–2028 and emphasize the vital role dental hygienists play in our healthcare system.

🪥 Dental hygienists are highly educated, licensed healthcare professionals who specialize in preventing gum disease and promoting oral health. We are at the forefront of the oral-systemic health movement, helping bridge the gap between oral health and overall health.

💜 As advocates for our profession and the patients we serve, we are committed to advancing policies that strengthen dental hygiene, expand access to preventive care, and improve health outcomes for all Californians.
Healthy mouths. Healthier lives. Stronger voices for dental hygiene! 🦷💪

🦷✨ Help a Future Dental Hygienist Finish Strong!

Do you know a patient (or yourself) who needs a deep cleaning? Consider referring them to a senior dental hygiene student who is nearing graduation!

These students have spent countless hours developing their clinical skills and are entering the final stage of their dental hygiene education. They have worked with a wide variety of patients and are refining their clinical judgment, instrumentation, patient education, and preventive care skills they’ll soon use as licensed professionals.

💜 Your referral does more than provide a cleaning—it helps a soon-to-be dental hygienist build confidence and prepare for the profession.

At the same time, you or your referred patient receives thorough preventive oral health care in a supervised educational setting.

🎓 They’re almost there. Help them cross the finish line! Reap the reward of a healthy smile too!
