SVB Graduating Senior Spotlight! 🎓

Derek Hogaboam graduated from Pasco High School as a Cambridge AICE Diploma Recipient! His awards include Male Athlete of the Year (Pasco High), Dade City Rotary Club Outstanding Senior Award and SAC 2nd Team All Conference Award '26 for tennis.

Additionally, Derek heads to university with a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, the USF Directors Award Merit Scholarship and an Academic & Vocational Scholarship from East Pasco Chamber of Commerce.

Coach Yusuf, Director of the Ambassador Program, describes Derek as a great player, mentor and an even better friend to everyone around him.

Derek is attending the University of South Florida, majoring in Aerospace Engineering. ✈️⚙️

SVB Graduating Senior Spotlight! 🎓

Treye Hochstetler graduated from Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation (Biomedical Sciences Program), where his other commitments included NHS (National Honor Society) and HOSA-Future Health Professionals.

Treye's journey with SVB Foundation began in 7th grade through SVB's After-School Program at R.B Stewart Middle School. Since then, he has grown as a mentor, dedicating many Sundays to volunteering at our Love Serving Autism Program, our Junior Ambassador Program and countless community events.

Having lettered in tennis, Treye is one of three recipients of the annual Sarah Vande Berg Memorial Scholarship honoring Sarah, her peers, and her legacy. Additionally, he is a recipient of the Zephyrhills Women's Club Scholarship.

Treye is attending Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Biological Sciences. ⚕🔬

Words from Treye: “My favorite thing is just getting to work with the kids. It’s always just rewarding to watch them get better at tennis, but also to watch them grow up and develop their sense of self.”

SVB Graduating Senior Spotlight! 🎓

Immanuel Fair graduated from Florida Virtual with a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship! In addition to being an SVB Ambassador, his other commitments include NHS (National Honor Society), Spanish NHS and Chess Club.

His favorite thing about the SVB Ambassador Program: ”Serving the community, hanging out with friends, and having fun while doing it.”

Immanuel is attending the University of Central Florida starting this summer, majoring in Business Management. 💼📈

The SVB Tennis Foundation believes that education is the number one priority for all youth. Our methods continue to evolve each year, and academic support remains at the forefront of what we do.

According to our program survey data, this year, 77% of SVB students in our after-school tennis and educational program showed growth in their confidence to learn, improve, and tackle new challenges.

These numbers matter because they not only speak to the determination of youth but also to our program coaches and their ability to teach students beyond tennis skills.

We’re helping them believe in their ability to succeed wherever life takes them 🌠

We are beyond honored to be named the Ye Loyal Krewe of Grace O' Malley chosen nonprofit for the year! To kick off this incredible partnership, Krewe members sent in their donations along with handwritten notes for the students in our after-school program.

Opportunities like this serve as a reminder for our students that an entire community is committed to their success. That there are people, like the women of the Grace O’Malley Krewe, who see them, believe in them and support them. Huge thanks to Angel of Grace Shae Davis and the entire Krewe for a year we’ll never forget. ✨

And that’s a wrap for Q4… ✌️➡️

Last Thursday marked the conclusion of the 2025-2026 season of our afterschool tennis & enrichment program. A strong finish with students from R.B Stewart Middle School, West Zephyrhills Elementary, ‘Tiny Tennis’ at Woodland Elementary, and Watergrass Elementary.

A huge shout-out goes to our principal partners & schools for welcoming us, our program coaches for bringing their all, and all SVB sponsors for making our mission possible! 🌟
