Hospice of Yuma: Sharing the Journey

Hospice of Yuma has served the community since 1981, providing compassionate care for many terminally ill patients and their families. We focus on helping patients and families cope with what they fear most about dying – being in pain, being alone, losing control, and being a burden to others. For patients, hospice care offers emotional and spiritual support and state-of-the-art medical care, tailored to the patient's wishes to remain at home, as pain free and comfortable as possible. National Hospice Month is here, and we invite our community to help make a difference by sponsoring a day, a week, or an entire month of hospice care.

A huge thank you to the incredible NAU (Northern Arizona University) instructors who provided the Alternatives to Managing Aggression Program 1: The Assisting Process training!

We are especially grateful to Dr. Miriam Espinoza, Jason Bradley, Amie Hamlet, Pam Wong, and Beth Rossell for sharing their expertise, guidance, and commitment to helping our team build the skills needed to safely and effectively support others.

Thanks to their outstanding instruction, 29 of our staff members are now certified through this program. This training strengthens our ability to respond with professionalism, compassion, and confidence, and we appreciate the time and dedication our instructors invested in making it a success.

Thank you, NAU, for your partnership and for helping us continue to grow and better serve our community!
