To know Judge Fritzgerald Javellana is to love him. ♥️

The Sutter County Board of Supervisors recently recognized Judge Fritzgerald A. Javellana for his leadership in organizing the Korematsu v. United States Reenactment & Community Program held at Sutter County Superior Court on May 12.

The Board also recognized the local students who participated in the reenactment, whose performances helped bring this important chapter of American history to life for the community.

The program provided an opportunity to reflect on the importance of civil liberties, justice, and civic engagement. Thank you to Judge Javellana, the participating students, and everyone involved in presenting this program to our community.

This man right here, the late David Gonzalez. Aka “Speedy Gonzalez” was the first founding member of the AHA. He contributed countless hours of public service to our wonderful community. He has provided our meeting place at El Zarape Restaurant in Yuba City, CA since 1992! His wife Ana and their sons, David Jr. And Robert continue to support our efforts to provide the services and love for the citizens of this great community. Every year we award a special scholarship, the “David Gonzalez AHA Scholarship” to a deserving student to continue their education. We want to thank the Gonzalez family from the bottom of our hearts for their generosity and (not to mention delicious food!😋) AHA loves you guys!❤️🙏

The AHA meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month downstairs at El Zarape Restaurant in Yuba City at 5:30pm (unless otherwise announced). All are welcomed to attend. Our next meeting is this Tuesday, May 12th. Please join us. We will have super special speakers joining us this month.

Next month we will be celebrating our AHA 2025/26 Scholarship recipients, my personal favorite event of the year!
