The Yonkers Council of PTA/PTSAs connects families, schools and communities.

The Yonkers Council of Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is dedicated to improving and expanding educational opportunities for children and public education by working with families, the community and businesses. Individual school PTAs and PTSAs join together to form the Yonkers Council of PTA/PTSA which serves as a forum for exchanging ideas, learning new leadership techniques and is a strong venue for advocacy. The PTA is first and foremost an advocacy group in all areas of our children’s education because we always believe, “Our Children Deserve Better.”

The Yonkers Council are members of the Westchester East Putnam Regional PTA, New York State PTA and National PTA.

Important Reminder: Per our bylaws, each Yonkers PTA unit must send at least one designated delegate to represent their school.

All Yonkers Public School families, students, and staff are warmly invited to attend as well.

We look forward to continuing to collaborate with you all to make this a wonderful school year for our students!

What an AMAZING celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month!
YonkersPublicSchools students took center stage and absolutely brought the YonkersMagic to this year’s Districtwide Hispanic Heritage Month celebration! ❤️
From powerful poetry to dance and band performances, YPS students brought their talent and this year’s theme, “Unidos, Somos Más” (Together, We Are More!), to life in the most inspiring way!
The celebration was made even more special by remarks from Mayor Mike Spano and Superintendent Dr. Soler, who joined in honoring the rich culture, traditions, and contributions of the Hispanic community.
A HUGE thank-you to our amazing students, dedicated educators, families, and everyone who helped make this year’s celebration spectacular!
