If happiness had four legs and a wagging tail, it would look a lot like Raymond. This handsome young boy is always happy and seems to wear a smile wherever he goes. One of his favorite things is running around the shelter play yard, chasing after a ball with endless enthusiasm. With his energetic spirit and love of play, Raymond would thrive in a home with a large fenced yard where he can run and enjoy plenty of outdoor fun.

But Raymond is much more than an energetic dog. He has a loyal heart just waiting for a family to call his own. He is the kind of dog who will stand by his people through thick and thin with unconditional love. Every dog deserves the chance to be someone’s best friend, and Raymond is more than ready for that opportunity.

PET OF THE WEEK:
Levi is one of originally 4 brothers nicknamed the “blonde boys” at the shelter. Levi and his brother Rider are the last 2 waiting for a family. Next month will mark a heartbreaking milestone: one full year in the shelter.

Levi has a joyful spirit and a beautiful blonde coat that shines in the sunlight. Despite his good looks and friendly nature, he is often overlooked by potential adopters because of his bouncy personality and his enthusiasm is often misunderstood.

Levi can jump incredibly high when he gets excited. Whether he sees someone carrying his food bowl or spots a volunteer with a leash, his excitement sends him springing straight up into the air. He can easily get his head over the top of his kennel, which is an impressive sight to witness. Despite his athletic ability, Levi has never once tried to jump out. Outside of his kennel, Levi settles down nicely, walks beautifully on a leash and is a very good boy.

Levi would thrive in a home with another playful dog who could match his energy and become his best friend. After nearly a year of waiting, Levi deserves the chance to finally leave shelter life behind. His future family will gain a loyal, entertaining friend whose excitement for life is truly contagious.

UPDATE: TRIXIE IS BEING ADOPTED! SHE GOES HOME THIS WEEK!

If you’re looking for a dog who turns heads wherever she goes, look no further than Trixie. This girl has a beautiful merle coat with unique markings that are truly one of a kind. Her photos simply don’t do justice to how striking she is in person.

She is a well-behaved dog who walks well on a leash. She gets along with everyone at the shelter, both volunteers and dogs.

Believed to be a mix of Catahoula Leopard Dog and possibly Australian Cattle Dog, Trixie has the intelligence and loyalty these breeds are known for. She would make a great family companion in an active household.

Trixie has beauty, brains, and a loving personality all in one! Now all she needs is a family to call her own. Stop by and meet Trixie. You may just find your new best friend!

He's intact, appears to be about 2 years old, no microchip, and was found without a collar on.
