It has taken us a couple days to catch our breath from this past weekend. We would like to thank each and every one of you that came out for breakfast this past Saturday. It was a packed house from start to finish! Secondly we want to thank every one that bought a homecoming raffle ticket. The winning tickets were drawn tonight by our Grand Marshal of the parade. Congratulations to Jason Ward who was the first name drawn and took the smoker. Also congratulations to John Vasquez who was the second name out and won the cooler. We want to thank Jason at Smokin hot grills again for his help with the raffle. We are incredibly lucky and proud to serve such an amazing community!

With the church service in the park last night kicking off Wren Homecoming and 100 years of old friends getting together while making new friends. We would like to remind everyone of a couple things to help make this weekend enjoyable for everyone. The first is please be alert while driving through town this weekend as there will be a lot of extra people in town. Secondly please remember that the parking lot behind the fire station will be closed. We do this to ensure that our people have a place to park in case of an emergency. We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow morning at our pancake and sausage that runs from 7-11. Also as we move closer to 4pm tomorrow please do not park on 49 or Jackson street heading east. This the parade route and we want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy the parade.

We are excited to announce Lutheran Air will be in town Saturday afternoon! They are going to fly the parade route and immediately following the parade they will be on the ground down at the ballpark! Everyone is not only invited but encouraged to come and ask questions to the crew and take a look around! Not to mention it makes for a pretty good photo!

As we begin homecoming week we have just a couple of reminders. First off is our pancake and sausage breakfast this Saturday from 7-11. It’s always best to watch wiffle ball on a full stomach. Secondly we still have some tickets left for this awesome Recteq pellet smoker. If you haven’t got yours yet we will be selling them all weekend! Lastly we are still looking for entry’s for this years parade! It’s not every day you get to be in a parade turning 100 years old that is attended by hundreds of people.
