Members of our Fire Police unit are clearing two simultaneous accidents along Valley Forge Road. The department has handled 8 alarms since Friday to end the week, with 7 of them being in the township.

It’s been a busy week of training for our members.

Tonight, all 3 engines were out around the township practicing our engine company riding assignments. Each member executed specific tasks that are predetermined with their riding position, allowing the crew to ensuring all key tasks are covered.

On Wednesday, we participated alongside other departments in an after action review of a third alarm fatal fire in Lansdale this summer. Thanks Fairmount Fire Company for putting this together.

On Tuesday, 11 members spent their evening at the Fire Academy participating across the FF1 Class, Vehicle Rescue, and a Live Burn with LP Fire practicing basement fires - thanks for the invite!

Training is paramount for us to provide effective services. We are extremely grateful for the time our volunteers put into training, and their families who support them and the time they put in!

Two calls for the day so far for WVFD. One at 5am in the township, the second assisting Lower Providence later in the morning.

This morning just before 8am, the LPFD was dispatched to a reported microwave on fire in the 3000 block of Cardin Place in the Eagleville section of the Township. Chief 53 arrived with smoke showing from the front door and the resident reporting the fire had spread from the microwave into the kitche...
