Meryl's Safe Haven Our motto... shelter the unsheltered. Here at Meryl's Safe Haven, we are driven to do our part in making the world a better.

Since January 2023, we have taken part in a wide range of activities that empower the Worcester community while providing shelter to the unsheltered. requently about one day opening a home young people who had placed out of foster care could live and thrive in. The sudden and unexpected lost of Meryl empowered co-founders, Dr. Tasia and Marisol Cerezo, to carry the torch and bring her dream to life. Their 15+ years of experience in the non-profit sector and shelter programming laid the foundation to create a haven to fill the gap in available shelter.

We are incredibly grateful to the Hermann Foundation for awarding Meryl’s Safe Haven a $25,000 grant in support of our Transitional Youth Empowerment Program (TYEP)!

This funding will directly support young adults aging out of the DCF system by helping them build the skills, confidence, and stability needed to move forward into independent living.
