For our final new staff feature, meet Cristina Coulter, our new Chief Financial Officer. Cristina joins WCHR with more than two decades of experience serving nonprofit organizations in finance, accounting, and organizational leadership. Throughout her career, she has helped mission-driven organizations build strong financial systems, improve governance, and create the infrastructure needed to support their missions.

Cristina says she was drawn to WCHR because of “the organization's commitment to expanding housing opportunities and strengthening the community.”

As CFO, Cristina is leading efforts to modernize our financial systems, strengthen internal controls, improve reporting, and support long-term planning.

Outside of work, Cristina enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and their family. She loves discovering live music, taking walks in nature, cooking for family and friends, dancing, and unwinding in the hot tub after a busy week. She's also been part of a Mystery School community for many years, where she enjoys exploring personal growth, symbolism, and the ways people and communities evolve together.

Next up, we are highlighting Charity Enimil, our not-so-new Lending Assistant. Charity is not-so-new because she came to us from Robert Half as a temporary Lending Assistant over seven months ago. Charity has now transitioned to a staff role, and we are so excited to have her on board. In addition to assisting our community lending fund, WCHR Securities, and service loans, Charity has helped create online applications, served as a liaison to our loan applicants and has helped our lending fund get organized and become more efficient.

Before she came to WCHR, Charity had several roles in financial aid administration, including serving as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Charity also brings to the position several years of experience at lending institutions, including the Bank of Canton and DCU. Charity also has two master's degrees.

She enjoys baking, traveling, and playing tennis.

We are thrilled to have Charity on board and appreciate all of the insights and technical skills she brings to WCHR.

Today, we’re introducing you to Aidan Aciukewicz. Aidan joined the team this month as a Project Manager in our Development Department. Here, he will be working on the design, permitting, funding, and construction of active affordable multifamily projects.

Aidan says “I grew up near Worcester and felt like coming back to work on affordable housing development with WCHR was a natural fit. I am very excited to bring more affordable housing to life with the Real Estate Housing Development team.”

Before joining WCHR he completed his master's in City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a concentration in Housing and Community Development. He has previously worked in municipal affordable housing research and grants management. And outside of work, he loves to cook, bake bread, read fiction, hike, and play basketball, soccer, and Old School Runescape.

We're kicking off a series highlighting our newest team members at WCHR! Today we’re highlighting Fiona Walsh, who’s been interning with us as a 2026 Yale Law School Liman Summer Undergraduate Fellow. Fiona is majoring in political science and pre-law at Mount Holyoke College and will be a senior there in the fall. In her spare time, Fiona enjoys running, listening to music, and competing in mock trial.

Fiona has been helping to analyze our past lending for a lending impact study, assisting with outreach for our loan fund and learning about redeveloping vacant and distressed properties into affordable housing. Fiona has a passion for public service and social justice and has been a huge help this summer. We have loved having her on the team and we are so appreciative of her contributions here at WCHR and WCHR Securities.

We had a blast at our inaugural Family Fun Day a couple weeks ago! On June 30, we invited tenants across our family sites to a day of fun at our King Street property. We had a bouncy house, pizza, games, and the biggest hit - an ice cream truck! All the kiddos came up to us afterwards and asked when the next event would be. We saw children making new friends, and families who said they got to know their neighbors better. It was amazing to see! Thank you to all of the families who came out!

If you saw our newsletter last week, you saw that we received funding from the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (HLC) to fund our Oriol Drive Project! In two phases, this project will provide 40 units of permanent supportive housing to the unhoused population and 57 units of senior housing with built-in services for older adults. This project has been the result of an incredible amount of teamwork, passion, and expertise. Building affordable housing is an intricate puzzle. From the funding sources to the architects, the social workers to the landscaping, each aspect is an important piece of creating dignified, thoughtful, trauma-informed housing. On Tuesday, we broke ground on Seeds of Hope, our tiny homes pilot project at 6 Claremont Street that’s been several years in the making! A first of its kind project for Worcester, these 4 tiny homes will provide dignified housing to seniors who have been unhoused or at high risk for homelessness at a time when the housing crisis is rapidly growing.

We are so grateful to our partners and supporters in this work: the project champions Tim Garvin (CEO of United Way of Central MA), Harriette Chandler (Senate President Emerita) and Dr. Matilde Castiel (former Worcester Health and Human Services Commissioner); our funders at the MA Department of Public Health, MA Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, Worcester Affordable Housing Trust, United Way of Central MA, and all of our private donors; our pro bono team of experts: Architect Sean Brennan of Lamoureux Pagano Associates, Clerk of the Works and Architect Larry Haley, Engineer Mike Andrade of Graves Engineering, Attorney Todd Rodman of Seder Law; and all of our supporters along the way that made this project possible.
