Yesterday, Ron Burgess Jr. Foundation, Inc. hosted our 1st Annual Spencer–East Brookfield Backpack Drive, and together we placed backpacks into the hands of local students preparing for a successful school year.

As part of our mission to educate, empower, and support children in our community, we believe every child deserves to begin the school year feeling prepared, confident, and supported.

A special thank you to the Spencer Troops, whose unmatched support made this event unforgettable. When we were short on supplies — 25 packs of crayons and 30 notebooks — they didn’t hesitate.
They simply said, “Don’t worry about it, we got it,” and they did.

They packed 80+ backpacks, checked on our CEO every 30–45 minutes, and made sure every child walked away with a smile.

Thanks DJ Mihezzy! For making it work with the music and good vibes with the kids.

To our FullSend Jeep Group volunteers, our donors, and every person who showed up with love, energy, and service — thank you.

To Worcester Majors! Thanks for coming out to sign autographs! Definitely put a smile on the kids faces.

When we fell short on supplies, the Spencer Troops turned ‘no worries’ into action. We were short 25 packs of crayons or running low 30 notebooks? They handled it. They also donated backpacks! And let’s not forget—they checked in on our CEO every half hour, making sure he had everything he needed. That’s the kind of support that truly lights up a community event. Unmatched support.

P.S. Our CEO is really excited for the troops to teach him how to properly tie a knot and light a camp fire.

Mission accomplished! 💪 Our CEO just learned that packing 80+ backpacks solo is a lot like wrestling an octopus in a phone booth! Thankfully, our amazing troops stepped in with superhero capes and huge hearts to save the day. Our CEO said tonight our Troops helped him realize, we’re not just handing out backpacks tomorrow, but we’re also handing out hope.
